A few months ago, it was brought up by the mods on cleaning up stickies in the cards section as it was getting to be alot. One of those was the Skkorp stickie. Seeing we had the rembernce forum up now, we all thought that would be a good place for it. It was still stickied there. There was no disrespect as I really liked that thread to, just figured for those that knew could go back to that section and reread it if you wanted to.

Also no one even said a word until nidan and it's been like 3 or 4 months since it was move, so I figured members were fine with the move to. Either way, it's back and I'm truly glad that Skkorp created such a great place to talk AZ Sports.

Skkorp's post serves as a reminder to me to cherish every moment of the Cards' current success and more than that to savor every moment of my life. I'm sorry Skkorp isn't here to see this team, but those of us who are must carry the torch for all the Cardinals fans who've gone before us. It's easy to root for this team. It wasn't as much fun for our predecessors. Appreciate what we have; remember those who weren't luck enough to see it. Skkorp loved this team and held great affection for those on this board. Keep the post, it's the least we owe him!

This thread is, perhaps, a time to reflect more on Skkorp's vision and relentless attention to mutual respect and civility on this board. At times I wonder what Skkorp would have said/done on some of the threads that contained such ugly and personal attacking posts.

This is still THE place for Arizona Sports and, in particular, our beloved Cardinals. In this new year of 2016 I am going to keep my mind right and pay a little more attention to how I respond and post. With all due respect to Skkorp in the forefront of my mind.

Keeping the post is the right thing to do. Remembering Skkorp and what he meant this board to be is even more important.

This was my suggestion as I felt the "Hall of Remembrance" forum was the appropriate spot for this thread.

There were many things that drove Jim crazy besides bad grammar, trolls and cussing on ASFN.

He also hated attention on himself and above all he hated permanent stickies as he felt they cluttered the Cardinals forum.

I just want to make it clear that it was not Shaggy's idea to move the thread. This was a Mod hand picked by Jim doing what I believe he would have wanted.

Although I must admit it does warm my heart knowing that Jim is somewhere fuming about people still making a fuss about him and there being too many stickies on the Cardinals forum.

We miss you Jim! Go Cardinals!

As another [ex]mod that was handpicked by Jim I agree with what you say he would have wanted... However as somebody earlier said ..In this case I disagree with Jim as he does deserve the credit even if he wouldn't have thought so.

I know it was already reinstated but I want to just +1 that it should stay up, and I remember Skkorp fondly. It's amazing how long I've been a part of this community (although most often just lurking), and that thread is really a great example of how tight knit this place is.

Remember coming here from the old "Cards Corner" site. It has been a God Send for many of us long time Cardinal fans and a place I visit almost every day to get my fill of Cardinal news and the great posting from all of the true cardinal fans that populate ASFN.

I'm sorry but I just saw this post today as I just got back from vacation and it made me angry that Shaggy had to defend himself over this. It was totally unfair for Shaggy and Iceman.

Understood. I feel partially responsible frankly, for mentioning new ownership. It was my bad. Neither Shaggy nor Iceman need defend themselves at all. Wasn't my intention, I think they've been great and as I also said have moved the site forward in good, constructive ways.

Without Shaggy and Iceman who knows where this site would be. There was a time before they arrived, that I and others thought it was starting to go in the tank. They revived it.

No disrespect to anyone. We're all family and want the best for this site. I still think this thread should be deleted or locked. It's no longer constructive.
