one game, suspended indefinitely for Conduct Detrimental to the team. nobody seems sure what he did, but he was reportedly very out of shape and atrocious on defense in his first and possibly only college game.

What a waste of talent, I sure hope someone gets that kid to wake up he's pissing away millions of dollars.

Maybe he can transfer to ASU assuming they can afford him and his Dad. Lotta ASU fans thought they were going to get him at one point.

MSU is now saying it's not indefinite, right now it's one game.

Sidney responded to the story by responding to a comment on twitter with "an obscenity laced tirade".

The coach said there was an incident with players and coaches at practice and that's why Sidney is suspended. Sounds like some sort of scuffle in practice that went too far. he was suspended twice last year for fights in practice with teammates.

So he did play today, scored 19. I didn't see it but reportedly during a later game between Hawaii and Utah, ESPN cameras caught Sidney in a fight in the stands with someone else.

So don't be surprised if he's suspended again.

Question to Stansbury, was he worth it?

My take is all the MSU fans blasting Stansbury on this are hypocrites. I looked at their scout board last year, posted there several times because they were all claiming that UCLA and USC corrupted this "good ole boy from Miss" and once he came home he'd be fine. The NCAA was mistreating him, blah blah.

They spent a year arguing that SIdney shouldn't be suspended and he was persecuted.

Now he's managed to get himself suspended once, will undoubtedly be suspended again, and they want to blame teh coach? The coach did what they all wanted him to do, sign the McD's AA and hope he could get the talent out of the kid despite all the warning signs.

Both suspended indefinitely depending on their behavior. What a joke, Sidney was suspended less than a week ago for a fight, now he does it again, on live tv and they still apparently will consider keeping him around? This is why this stuff happens, if you're talented, schools will overlook this stuff giving you one second chance after another.

Gottlieb said they were roommates on the roadtrip and that the fight had something to do with a disagreement over concessions or something( I didn't hear the whole thing but he said it started over a disagreement at the concession stand).

Apparently Sidney was trying to get out of his seat to go get food and Bailey wouldn't move to let him get past out into the aisle. Just joking around that went too far and they wound up fighting. Teammate Dee Bost said SIdney didn't start the fight so I guess that's why they haven't just tossed him off the team.

I was looking at a MSU board the 2 funniest things, all the same people who complained the NCAA was persecuting Sidney are all blaming the coach for this. And many of them are more upset about how Sidney and Bailey were DRESSED(Sidney in a white tshirt Bailey in a white tank top) than in the fight. They are all saying when you let kids dress like that knowing they'll be on tv, this is what happens.

Rumor is MSU will kick Bailey off the team for good, but reinstate Sidney at a future date. The claim is that Bailey clearly instigated the fight, refused to let Sidney walk by and then cursed him repeatedly. When Sidney finally said something back, Bailey stood up and reportedly threw the first punch. The claim is Sidney tried to walk away but Bailey kept going until Sidney finally had enough. One "insider" article says Bailey has been a problem all year because he was jealous of Sidney, he got ejected from their Va. Tech game for a cheap shot and apparently teammates said it was a matter of time before someone got in a fight with him.

It's interesting because there is another "insider" article that says the first one is a completely spin by MSU because Sidney is clearly the better player and they don't want to kick off the better player. Among their points is that the coach actually chose Bailey as one of the team captains.

Everyone seems to agree Bailey was the instigator but there's a lot of dispute after that. An announcement is expected any day now.

Man the definition of indefinite suspension is interesting at Miss State.

First time around his indef was 1 game. This time Sidney missed 2 games for fighting a teammate on ESPN, and the teammate "decided to transfer."

Coincidental that Sidney is a better player than Elgin Bailey I'm sure.
