Talk about a case getting more and more circus like. Sidney's lawyer has now filed an appeal with Congress asking them to look into his charges that the NCAA is being "racially selective" by demanding more information from Sidney and his family than from other recruits. Nevermind that the reason has been very open for months now, we think Sidney took money and isn't an amateur, all you have to do to clear him is prove he didn't by giving us financial records. They will not hand over the records, so the NCAA won't clear him.
I'm wondering who gets involved first, Sharpton or Jesse Jackson?
If I'm the NCAA my counter is very simple, 2 years ago another black kid had a very similar situation, tons of rumors he took cash, no proof, and we cleared him. You may have heard of him, OJ Mayo, we're still investigating how many ways he violated his amateur status. He PROVES we're not being racially selective, we're simply putting the onus on the player this time because of the way it worked out that time.
