While coaching the Cavaliers, John Beilein called his players “thugs.” He said it was a simple case of mispronouncing the word “slugs” while speaking too quickly. Of the six Cleveland players who publicly addressed the issue the following day, only Tristan Thompson didn't offer clear support of his coach. The Cavs kept Beilein.
