And as long as we are winning, getting Kyler production from ok to good range is fine. Just need him to really limit the bad games.
curious.. what bad games do you feel he cost us this year? Not being snarky just interested in your take

I can't answer for Chopper, but Bills and Lions for sure.

Bills we stayed in most of the game yet he only had 162 yards passing and a YPA of 5.2. Ad he lost a fumble which gave them a short TD on a play he had a guy wide open but missed.

Against the Lions we scored 13 points in a game we held them to 20. We only had 10 points until the last drive of the game. Of his 207 yards, 81 of them came on that final drive that started with 6:48 left in the 4th down 10. Essentially garbage time. And then we stalled out on the Lions 26. He had a YPA of 5.35 in that game.

So in the whole game up to the last 6 minutes of garbage time he had 126 yards passing.

I don't know that Kyler's play has "cost" us games. I think we had some games that if Kyler had played better, we would have won. That said, my point was that Kyler needs to eliminate/limit bad performances like his games vs GB, LAC and WASH to ensure we have a shot each week.

Fun Kyler fact. The Cardinals are 5-0 this season when his yards per completion are over 10.

Where I slightly disagree is that I don't believe Kyler played "poorly" in those games even if I believe we could have beat the Bills if he has played better.

basically, had Dortch held on to the 4th down throw (a diff catch in fairness) -- we probably arent talking about Kylers play in the Buff game

That's pretty fair. "Could have played better" doesn't mean he didn't play "fine" or even "good".

I think K1 probably left some yards/points on the field in both the BUF and DET games. Could have been accuracy related or bad reads. I thought he played pretty good (but not great) against BUF, but just okay vs. DET.

I'm confident though that this version of Murray will work work work to improve deficiencies in his game. I think the kid legitimately wants to be great. I guess we'll see (I would say he's been "very good" so far this year).

Think he could have played better to put us in the win column against Detroit & Buffalo. Washington game? I put a bit on him as well. The Green Bay game is really the only game where I believe it was just a complete team loss & there’s other aspects I put the L on before putting it on Kyler.

Yes. I think Washington, Green Bay and LA Chargers were Kyler's worst games this season, and in those games, I don't feel like he "cost us" anything. Played ok vs Buffalo and Detroit, and think better play could have beat the Bills. I don't believe it would have mattered vs Detroit.

He wasn't bad, he was just Derek Carr.
