?? Based on what? His size? It takes a lot more than than to be an NFL tight end

so what would u like to do with him?if he doesnt show some improvments?
is pretty difficult to teach field vision and accuracy ,arm strenght is overrated

he's a QB, if he can't play QB then get rid of him.

and I 100% agree with you that arm strength is very overrated

this kid has some talent,...but level of competition is important.... LT looked great in last years pre season playing against guys far superior than what Simms has faced so far. My guess is these comments are intended two fold...give Simms some confidence, and light a fire under LT's ass......

come September LT will be #3.... Simms will be on the practice squad

I'd disagree with that. I saw him in the pre season last year and he had good zip on the ball. He had some pretty decent drives against the 2nd team D. and had some TD passes. This pre-season will tell the story about him.

hope to see also K9 and mitch comment about this video

Highlight reels are dumb. They're a terrible way to evaluate a prospect. That said, here's what I saw:

- Too many plays where he's working outside the framework of the offense. A pro QB has identified his target in his dropstep and releases the ball when he's at the top.
- Kind of a lazy, methodical throwing motion.
- Doesn't have NFL-level zip on his passes. It's hard to recognize when the level of competition is that low, but he has a Max Hall-caliber arm.

Here's the deal, the odds of finding even a talented backup in an open tryout a full week after the draft are vanishingly small. There's nothing to get worked up about here; there's zero possibility of him beating Logan Thomas out of a job.

No. You don't see all the mistakes. But there are things that you can pick out that are helpful.

Not really. I mean, if there are flaws that show up on the highlight tape, they're pretty significant flaws. But if you showed a highlight tape of the one successful Logan Thomas play, you'd think he's pretty awesome. It's that there are 6 other terrible plays that have many here worried.
