Just saw the news and they reported Cotton Fitzsimmons passed away today. Cotton was a class act and will always be a Sun. RIP Cotton.

Out of respect to Cotton, everyone should refrain from talking about any potential player movement for the next couple days.

Just doesn't seem right.

The next "out-court" shot I hit Cotton, I'll be thinking of you.

He has been so much a part of the Suns, it is hard to imagine him gone. There have been a lot of coaches and commentors, but I can't think of any who was as well liked and admired as Cotton. He wasn't just a sports personality, he was like family. He will be missed.

I grew up a huge suns fan in Phoenix, and watching Cotton's teams with the Suns was something special.

Very sad news.

1970-71 season was the 1st year I had an interst in basketball. I was 8 year old. I remember hearing about their "young" coach Cotton Fitzsimmons. Cotton was a good man who did a lot for the team. I am 42. He was younger than I am now when he started as thier coach. I hope with his contributions as a coach, broadcater and administrator he will be put in the ring of honor. He will be missed

Cotton Fitzsimmons was the Suns for pretty much as long as I can remember watching them. The organization and the city of phoenix lost an upstanding member of the community.

RIP Cotton, you will always be missed.

Cotton, arguably, saved the Suns franchise. He helped to turn this this around after the drug scandal in the late 80s. He was a straight shooter and a class act.

RIP Cotton
