Chics can lie, cops can be unethical, and the court will pick up charges/go to trial on an issue just because they make $$ doing so.

Well it's more than just he said she said:

The victim told police Foster dragged her by her hair, physically threw her out of the house and punched her in the head eight to 10 times. She was treated at a hospital for multiple injuries, including a ruptured eardrum, prosecutors said.

I hope a thorough and ethical investigation is conducted and justice is served.

I hope the 49ers let the process play out before they pull the trigger. I think our system is too aggressive in punishing people before their day in court when it comes to DV issues.

And people commit crimes, beat their wives/girlfriends, etc. What's your point?

Going to trial actually costs the courts more and the state/county attorney's get paid the same no matter how many cases they hear in a year. It is why so many cases get a plea deal.

In the instances of DV, the courts actually receive additional federal funding. It’s all set forth in the VAWA of 1994. They get this funding in instances of people pleading out, going to diversion, or going to trial.

Believe me, there are some really weak sauce DV cases that get pushed to trial because there is funding attached to it.

Precisely what I Stated: I hope they allow this situation to play out/let due process run it’s course before they just go slapping the trigger on him. They cut Tramaine Brock based on solely allegations, to later watch those charges get dropped. When charges of DV are pressed and later dropped, that is saying A LOT about the merits of the case/the person making the allegations.

49ers GM John Lynch says if charges are proven true that Reuben Foster struck a woman, “he won’t be a part of this organization going forward.” Says the organization needs more information at this moment. Adds no one is bigger than team.

If he already threw her out of the house all he had to do at that point was shut the door. I don't get the punching her in the head 8 to 10 times. That was very stupid on his part. I don't understand how anyone can get 11 years of prison time for that, but I agree he is an idiot for doing that. That just sounds like a simple assault charge to me. 30 days in the clink and out.

30 days for beating a woman in the head repeatedly? I agree with the 11 years. He could have killed her. Especially considering his strength.

Kudos to the niners for holding tight.

was it in california??

even self defense is illegal in california.

aggravated assault, battery,... mayhem if blood is drawn, assault with a deadly weapon if he kicked her while wearing shoes

my older brother was attacked by seven grown men in his own front yard and ended up doing three years for it

More like chic getting paid off to lie aka recant now
Yeah I find it hard to believe that a rational person thinks she didn't get paid off. I don't remember Foster's camp denying anything, I don't remember Lynch, after a "tough" conversation with Foster even mentioning that Foster was emphatic about his innocence. Most likely scenario: this chick got paid to shut up, and it's pretty sickening.

There is video evidence that “will prove” this chic lied (per her own attorney). She got into a fight with another woman, and threatened to “ruin (fosters) career” if he broke up with her. These are all statements coming directly through her attorney. Very very unorthodox procedure post “pay off.” If she was paid off, it would look more like “she is refusing to cooperate with prosecutors,” and any type of “pay off” would very likely have a NDA that comes with it...

I’m happy this guy didn’t get his life ruined because of a vindictive chic. You guys should be too, and you should stop listening to everything pumped out by domestic violence advocacy groups.

Larry Fitzgerald’s situation appeared to be more of a “paid for silence” situation than this does.
