I don't get this at all. Why don't the Kings want to keep him, and why are the Suns putting on such a show for Bledsoe Lite?

I wouldn't disregard how good a Thomas - Dragic - Bledsoe - Kieff - Len/Plumlee lineup could be. Remember the Mavs in 2011 played Barea - Terry - Kidd w/ Dirk & Chandler a lot and it worked very well. As long as you have rim-protection in the game, you can go really small in some situations and dominate that way. Kidd / Barea were sometimes matched on Lebron, but it didn't matter - Not because Lebron wasn't good ... But because Chandler was lurking behind waiting for Lebron to attack so he could rotate or block the shot.

I'm thinking there is a trade in the works. Without the Suns giving clues, it's hard to know.
Bledsoe to Cleveland if LeBron is there.
It's really hard to imagine anything different. The thing is that it could be Goran, Bled, or Ennis. Ennis to Toronto. Bledsoe to Cleveland if LeBron is there. No idea about Goran.
yeahhhh...only problem with the above is we don't have a Dirk/Chandler in the Thomas/Bledsoe/Dragic mix. Other then that, you've got a great point.
and now i'll wait for you to completely overrate kieff and len and compare them to Dirk (one of the best players of all time)/Chandler (one of the best defensive big men in the game when the Mavs won the title).
I was just wondering about that too. If James goes to Cleveland and they can't bring in a big, it makes sense for them to target Bledsoe as one of the best FAs left on the market. Maybe the Suns hold out for a sign-and-trade to get a draft pick.
I'm just talking about the defensive end - That seems to be the main concern w/ a 3 PG lineup. In terms of rim-protection, Plumlee / Len are comparable to Chandler. My point is just that a 3 PG lineup can easily be overcome defensively if there's at least 1, preferably, 2 big guys in there also ... I'm been a Mavs fan the past decade (Just been a Suns fan since last year) and Dirk's my favorite player of all time, so definitely no disrespect to him !
Len/Plumlee appear to be practicing together in summer league, so I think it's definitely a scenario the Suns are thinking about (playing them w/ 3 small guys)

This makes no sense to me. Why on earth would they want to pay Bledsoe $12+ and have Kyrie at max? Where are they supposed to get the funds? They have little as far as bigs and I think Varejao is the only guy making over $5m a year. So where do they get the money for that? In fact Thompson is a restricted next summer. They can't let him go as Varejao will be unrestricted. They already have very little in forwards and centers and now people think they can pay Bledsoe? No way!
There's no way your getting a super young 20/6 PG for 6-8 million dollars. He's not going anywhere to be a backup.
I think we are working a sign and trade with Sacramento to acquire Gay, Thomas, and possible Stauskas or Derrick Williams for Bledsoe and filler. Why? A Bledsoe to Sac sign and trade for Thomas and the #8 pick had already been rumored prior to the draft. Gay has been a player that the Celtics have tried to acquire on multiple occasions while McD was with them. Rumors floated around during last season's trade deadline the Suns were interested trading for Gay or pursuing him if he opted out of his contract this offseason.
Gay gets a bad rap probably because he is overpaid, but he is only turning 28 in August and averages a solid 20/6 per game (which is going to get you max money in the NBA). However, he only has a year left on his contract. He's obviously not a #1 option on a contender, but he would immediately become our best player and significantly upgrade our SF position. The biggest detractor to Gay is that he has the 2nd worst assist to turnover ratios in the league, right behind his teammate DeMarcus Cousins
Thomas, Dragic, Gay, Morris, Plumlee
or
Bedsoe, Dragic, Tucker, Morris, Plummlee
Which line-up do you prefer?
If Coro's right about keeping Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas as 3 guard - I'd be interested. Trading Dragic or Bledsoe aren't really an option for me and Thomas can fill it up as 6th man alongside Goodwin (bench).
Tucker, Green, and Warren as your SF's. Plumlee, Len, and Alec Brown (insurance) at Center. With Markieff, Marcus, Warren, Tucker, Brown, and possibly Shavlik Randolph.
Alec Brown and Tyler Ennis can spend a lot of time in D-League...
or there's going to be a Blockbuster deal for PF or F/C.
