Said he spoke w/ BC, who said he's looking for a deal but wouldn't say who he's looking to move--Bucher hears from NBA types it's Joe Johnson. Says BC looking for a post defender and rebounder who can run the break but didn't name names. I'd imagine Dalembert, Chandler, Wilcox, Swift, maybe Nene? Steve Blake and Kwame Brown? Duhon and Chandler? JJ and Chicago's first for Chandler and Gordon?

Granted, I got this from poster on the ESPN message board so it may be bogus. If so, my apologies.

Bucher talked about this on NBA Nation today, however he said he got it from other sources around the league, not Bryan Colangelo whom he talked to. My personal opinion is that he blew up some small inqueries by the suns into a bigger story, and blew up something that has a very small chance of happening.

Well I stand corrected. It isn't really like the idea hasn't been tossed around a million times. Although, if we did trade JJ we would have to net a hell of a lot for me to be pleased. I have always and still think this kid will be at least a solid allstar.

The deal you came up with: JJ and the pick for Chandler and Gordon I would probably do. Of course, I dont think the Bulls would (not that they could since it doesn't work numbers wise), especially in this win streak of theirs.

Ric Bucher just bashed the Suns relentlessly on NBA Nation tonight, and said they would not win 55 games. Which means they will go less that 24-19, the rest of the season so I wouldn't take anything he says too seriously.

Oh I definitely don't. Never been a big fan of Bucher, although I still expect (however naive it is) that journalists keep some integrity and at least report something close to the truth.

The sad thing is our bench players are so weak that we can't really get any good trades with them. The only way to get decent trade is probably breaking up the core players we have now. I like JJ but his contract is done at the end of this season and there is a HIGH chance that he'll leave the team since we can't really afford to resign him and he deserves more money.

Dealing JJ now is actually a better thing to do now than later in my opinion. Either we trade a decent player back or we don't trade him. I like Nene. He is strong, tall and sort of fast.

At this moment, we need a backup PG and a stronger guy who can defend. Our defense is just too weak at times...

We can do a sign and trade so I am sure we will not get nothing for JJ. Nene is nice but he doesn't bring the D that the Suns would need.

There is one guy out there that we can get quality minutes from....great D...but not that fast anymore....plus we would probably only need to sign a 1.5 mil contract with and we don't need to trade anyone at all.....Karl Malone.

Gambo heard the same rumor from Bucher and says not a snowball's chance in hell JJ is moved for Wilcox or Dalembert or anybody else. And Gambo's asked around and heard JJ will likely see offers for around the MLE from other teams this summer, which the Suns would match.

So there you go--a guy with zero credibility casting doubt on the assertions of a guy with zero credibility. I wish I could get away with being wrong 100% of the time at my job.

"Gambo"? Isn't that the guy from 910 that said we were getting Kobe and McGrady?

I listened to him for a while but he just sounds like a Yankee fan from NY. I've been on 1060 ever since.

I think JJ is being shopped. He's not playing consistant enough...Suns are afraid of what offer they might have to match on him...Suns already have Q which makes JJ expendble.

To top it off the Suns could use another Center (besides Hunter) so there is a need there to fill and JJ is the obvious tradebait to do it. I think Dalembert and his style of game would probably fit the Suns need best. Nene is not a traditional center but still might get a look out of need...Denver would probably listen as they need a SG in return. I think though that the Suns might be afraid of JJ helping Denver too much and want to trade JJ to the east. Chandler seems like a possibility but not sure if he's exactly what we're loking for...Doesnt seem like the traditional center type.

Heck, the team might lose Hunter next summer and the way D'Antoni is keeping his minutes severely limited regardless of how much he contributes, I would say that there's a very good chance Steven will look for greater opportunity. It doesn't come close to the blunders Ainge pulled with McDyess but it does remind me of it.

4 minutes of playing time in 2 of the last 3 games . . . and with a starter out injured.

Is Hunter not up to the challenge or is he the odd man out under a Coach who wants to prove that small ball works?

Will we ever find out?

Unless all of the starters are on fire we better see plenty of Hunter tonight. I believe the Suns will be beaten soundly either way, but they'll look better against the Spurs with Hunter in the game.

is their a chance that the suns are giving Voskul time is because they are shopping him? i mean, D'Antoni has been raving about CJ lately too. i think their might be a possibility that they are being hyped up just a little to improve their value for a trade of some sort.

just a thought.

btw, how the hell is JJ + Chi pick for Gordon and Chandler supposed to work. JJ for Gordon barely works salary-wise, then throwing in chandler doesnt work one bit.

JJ - 2.36 mil
Zarko thing - 1.3mil?

Gordon - 3.36 mil
Chandler - 4.8 mil

Yeah... maybe Suns wants to trade Casey away for a decent PG or bigger guy.

I mean the Mavs did it for Walker - letting him start the game but his actual playing time is only 28mins. lol Basically they want people to know that Walker is still "Good" and hopeful that would bring up his trade value.

I wouldn't be surprised if Suns does that to Casey.
