I am on the fence with this one.
Has Peterson ever brought the topic up on his own ? I have seen some tweets from him, but mostly he is answering a question asked of him by someone in the media when he ends up talking contract.
Kind of a catch-22 if you ask me. He gets asked a question that he would get in trouble for not answering, yet gets in trouble for answering.
But again, I am not 100% sure in my opinion.
Public discourse on contracts creats schisms between players and Front Offices. The more people learn about other's contracts, the more it inflates another player's self perceived value, even though it may or may not reflect reality. It's a nightmare.
I'm not against answering question from reporters per se, but I don't believe you need to say much more than, "My agent handles that; I play football."
What is worrying me is the comments about how he'd like to thank Sherman for making him more money and unsolicited tweets like, "45!!!!" I understand the elation one must feel when expecting a Lotteryesque payday, but this type of approach leads to hurt feelings when they shouldn't be there, IMO.
