Richardson was suspended for a game without pay by the Suns on Feb. 18 after a second incident in which Richardson ultimately pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor speeding charges and a count of endangerment for a Feb. 15 case, when his son was in the car.
The Suns tried to no avail to have the suspension reduced to one game because the club already had suspended him.
Richardson was sentenced to a day in jail, which he has served, for the Dec. 21 DUI case, as well as three years of summary probation, alcohol-education class and community service.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns don't play Dudley as the backup SG (behind LB) the first two games. Appparently he is in great shape and turning into an excellent 3 point shooter. The word is he can now hit the 3 and not just in the corners.
JR needs to come off that suspension and prove that he can do much more than just D,D, and D (drink, drive, and dunk). If not, he is going to find himself on the trading block... again.
Ironically, Tom Leander used to call Boris Diaw 3-D (dish, drive and dunk). So, I guess it was a fair trade after all.
I think Jared Dudley should be able to handle the backup SG position for a couple of games. He plays good defense and apparently has refined his 3 point shooting. I definitely like him better than Tucker at this position. I think a rotation of Nash, Dragic and Barbosa is too small.
Yup, we would be playing the Clips and the Warriors. J-Rich got off lucky considering what JR Smith got.We play garbage teams to start the season so I guess if he was to be suspended, the beginning of the year is the best time

I think if he were tradeable, he would have already been on the block. If not, he is going to find himself on the trading block... again.

What I meant was that there wouldn't be many takers for an underachieving player with roughly $28M left on his contract. But it's true that had his contract been a bit more manageable, the Suns still would have trouble getting value in return due to the reputation they've built over the last few seasons.Define tradeable? This team could get an offer tomorrow for the guy. Just like they could with Nash, Amare or any other player. The problem is that every team in the NBA thinks that money is the Suns #1 concern and they are offering crap for our assets.
