8 of them against Levi.

Stew on that.

Oh, last year when we played and Levi was already out...he had 0 sacks (though I think he might have gotten hurt in that game)

Looks like Bobby has himself a favorite playtoy.

hopefully this gets addressed when we play the lambs at home. quinn was so disruptive in this game it literally was a giant factor in why we lost this game.

And Levi has allowed 48.5 in just 5 seasons & 1 game! But he's an ok LT :D;):D

His supporters should been banned here for a week & drug tested hourly lol

That's a disgusting stat. When asked in the post game presser if he planned on replacing Levi, BA's response was, "With who?"

Yeah, that's the problem. We need to start knocking on door #2 everywhere we can, because Levi is a liability.

LOL, I'm guilty of this, in the worst way, trying to rationalize everything. But what I saw today was one player causing a complete breakdown of the offense. What disgusted me the most was when he had outside help and didn't even leverage inside and then proceeded to get beat inside. The 3rd and 2 play is a great example, but it happened several times. That's just stupid football and makes me realize he'll never improve. I think we're going to be stuck with him this year, but I hope we find an alternative next year.

this is a sad response.

is Massie that much of a disaster that he can only be a backup RT?

If you only looked at the subjects of the MB, you would learn two things:

1) We lost
2) Levi had an awful game

Agree. His full quote was:

“To who?” Arians replied when asked about replacing Brown. “You got one? He’s our guy. No, there’s no position change. Somebody would have already beaten him out.

An indication of what BA really thinks of Brown right now, and a further indication of how bad he thinks Potter is at LT. And I have no clue why he thinks Massie is so bad, the dude wasn't even active today.

It wasn't because Massie is bad, it was because he isn't versatile like some of the other active OLmen. We know (think) he's a capable RT, but one of the knacks on him coming out of Ole Miss was he can only play one position.

Cardinals should trade Eugene Monroe or Brandon Albert.

Massie was a healthy scratch today, and didn't even suit up. Either this staff has it out for him, or Massie's play in the final 8 games last year was kind of like Steve Sax hitting .332 for the Dodgers back in '86.

Massie was scouted as a RT only prospect. He is suited perfectly for RT but would struggle anywhere else. So he was scratched because Potter can play 3 positions. Makes sense from a #s game I guess.

Pick your poison.

Then you leave Eric Winston all alone on Long.

+1

The only way to replace Levi Brown is to wait till March of 2014.

That's it.

A LT better than Levi Brown is not going to magically show up during the season.

The situation should have been addressed March 2011 if you ask me but the priority doesn't seem to be there for the Cardinals.

Levi Brown is still, IMO, a mid-tier LT. Robert Quinn is no push over, and neither is the Rams defensive line. That is not to say Levi Brown won't struggle against other teams, he will. But, at this point we should just expect, and hope the team can overcome, the play of Levi Brown.

Again, I have never been a fan of Levi Brown, but we all must realized that Palmer did have some time in the pocket at points. It is what it is until it can be "fixed" next offseason.

He can? Which positions are those? And Sowell can play TE? I'm pretty sure Sowell and Potter would struggle anywhere else. In fact, they would struggle at their actual positions. So they couldn't put Massie on the end of the line to block?

The staff does not like Massie, period. Every new staff anywhere comes in and scapegoats someone. It always happens. And Massie is on of the chosen ones.

This entire issue is disheartening. I really had high hopes that with Grimm replaced by Arians, Goodwin, Moore and Zeirlein that the offensive line would be much better. Instead we see the same or worse Levi Brown we saw two years ago.

:(

I think the O-line was better as a whole.

However Levi Brown was back to his old self when it came to pass protection.

Brown is the entire subject of my post. He deflates the overall performance of the offensive line.

Last year in the opener the Cards RBs ran for 27 yards on 17 carries. So there is progress everywhere else. But last year we had Batiste, Colledge, Sendlein, Snyder and Massie. I would have expected that Brown, Colledge, Sendlein, Fainaka, and Winston would be better especially with the supposed genius offensive line coaches Michael hired.

That is incorrect. Your first sentence specifically said the OL.

So Brown isn't a part of the offensive line? Didn't know that he had been moved to TE.

:bang:

Yes he is PART of the OL. You said you had hoped that the Offensie Line would get better under the new coaches. I think it has gotten better with the exception of Levi Brown being the same.
