Its not about "Suns still to find their game"... Suns are just slower... no one noticing that?
it takes more toll on their bodies to play at the higher pace, considering D'Antoni overplayed Nash the last 3 years...
And then you add Hill, who has been good. But at 35 you cant expect him to play that well throughout the season...
Amare?, he cant play full capacity either every game...
Bell?.... slower too...
Exactly. And particularly after the morderous pace of the GS game, you could see Hill was kind of feeling the aftermath, the toll, by missing badly on so many midrange jumpers early on.
Amare is not complete healthy or fit as evidenced in the still quite bad lateral mobility.
As to Bell, the coach must have said something to him. For a pleasant change, he started to actively looking for Amare on the offense and got productive outcome each time he did so. The offense on longer stagnates with him touching the ball. Never the less, his health is of concern and he should be benched in favor of LB who again played miserably on offense as the backup.
In any case, we played reasonably well considering the circumstances. The one thing which hurt us a lot was a stretch of continual 3 pts made by the players Nash was supposed to challenge. He has the tendency to stay too far from the 3pt shooters even though the opponents got hot. The same happened vs GS too. Well, he seemed to have adjusted in that area in the last quarter. Or maybe it's just because of the game being on the line he simply increased his defensive intensity.
Despite the loss, I'm pleased with Amare's game and how he got involved into the offense. Once he gets completely healthy and in condition, and Hill healthy too, we shall not have much problem to beat the Rockets in a 7 game series.
Well, Yao sucks! I know.
