I vehemently disagree with the idea that us benching vets in the clutch of games is going to destroy the "winning" mentality of this team. Teams tank every single year, teams regularly do it by playing the kids instead of the vets. The supposed "losing mentality" has a lot more to do with the character and quality of the players on the team. There is a long long list of teams who have tanked a towards the end of a lost season and not seen their franchise fall into disaray.

Signing, drafting, trading for bad players, stupid players, lazy players, thats how you destroy the culture of a franchise.

In the NBA the cream rises to the top, the most important part of assembling a winning team is to amass talent. We have very little talent on this team right now, striving for meaningless wins is only making it harder to find more.

That's what we're doing. Until just recently, you and just about everyone else, believed we were tanking. Now, simply because our opponents have rolled over and played dead for us, you're taking cheap shots at management for allowing this team to try and win. There is a lot to blame this organization for but they can't actually tell the head coach and players to not win. The best they can do is tell the coach he'll be judged not on wins and losses but on how well he develops and prepares the young players for the future. And that's what's happening here.

It's the most depressing thing in the world, to think the Suns are this bad, but can't even lose right...

They have BY FAR the least favorable outlook going forward....

The ONLY way they can keep from becoming completely irrelevant is to get a high pick this year and build through the draft...

By beating the Rockets, we screw our own position AND the potential pick from the lakers...

So depressing...

I think the potential pick from the Lakers is gone at this point. They are finding some chemistry and should be able to hang on to at least the 8th seed.

I've consistently said they were NOT tanking, they just suck.

Our best players are Dragic, Scola, Gortat, Dudley, Tucker and O'Neal. Together, our best players combined for 100 minutes in this game. The group of Morris, Morris, Haddadi, Beasley, Marshall and Johnson combined for 129 minutes. I don't see how the organization is to blame for us winning this game. This win should be blamed on the Rockets.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You can tank by deciding what players you play. You never tell players to not play hard. If they still win, that's just too bad.

Also you have to factor in that Dragic as our best player still needs big minutes because he is still developing. You could somewhat say the same for Dudley and Tucker as well.

Heck, without Haddadi we probably wouldn't win this game despite his 0-4 at the the FT line.

Good grief, he's almost 27 years old and has more than 7000 career minutes under his belt. If he hasn't developed his skills by now, it's not happening.

His physical skills aren't likely going to get better, but his mental skills can still be improved significantly. Between his time as starter both this season and last he has started a total of about one season. Not crazy to think that he hasn't quite reached the peak of his abilities.
