How 'bout "Rod stay the course, 1000 points of light Graves" as in "read my lips NO NEW FA's".

This pic reminds me of the scene at the end of Animal House where the guy is standing there saying "remain calm.... everything is all right..." funny, that kind of fits the situation...

Yep it does, to suggest calm right now appears to be unpopular and worthy of lynching

Hard to be calm, though, when players (playmaking players) at need positions are signing and visiting elsewhere, while we wait for the weekend to roll along before we even truly get a start. Ugh. Yeah, calm. Right. That's the ticket.

POLL, POLL, POLL, POLL, POLL!!!! This should be a poll!

I like "He who walketh in the path of a downward spiral", or something equally as simple and short.

We are a few days into free agency, and there are still many players out there that can upgrade the roster. I'll leave it to those who make a living making these decisions, and await the outcome. In fact, we don't have much choice in the matter, so why not save a lot of pointless debate and possibly countless words to retract, and do the same?

Northern, I seem to recall this same line of reasoning on your part this time last year...what was your excuse then when we failed to land playmakers at positions of need? Hmm? *crickets chirping* There WAS no excuse, that's right. We failed because we failed.

Now, again, playmakers are going elsewhere and signing elsewhere-guys at positions we desperately need-yet we're supposed to be all chipper and hunky-dory with it? Cha, right. We're getting a stark dose of reality, and it ain't the kind of reality I want to hear from Cards HQ.

This "wait and see, judge us later" strategy last year laid the groundwork for a stellar 4-12 season.

so basically what you're saying is you're willing to continue to trust the man who bought us such hits as:

"wait 'til the june 1st cuts!"

"judge me come training camp!"

"with the 6th pick we trade down!"

"with the 17th and 18th picks we select calvin pace and bryant johnson!"

but you don't want us to discuss what's currently going on, so what are we supposed to discuss? hey everyone, how great will flagstaff be come august?!? WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Excuse? What does that mean?

I seem to recall that last year the two defensive "playmakers" the club targeted decided to accept lesser offers from other teams. How can we blame Cards management for that?

it remains management's job to convince them to come. if they fail, they were unable to do their jobs. i don't care the reasons they went to other teams, it's graves' job to convince them otherwise. and you can't say that's impossible . . . nothing is impossible.

Because you can make excuses out your ass until the cows come home, but this is a business of results. Rod made a super effort, and tried really hard to succeed, but in the end, he failed miserably last year, making bold predictions, and accomplishing none of them.

Free agency starts this year, and a large number of key free agents are no longer available, and Rod is preaching patience again. Are you seeing a pattern here? Keep saying everything is fine. Keep saying that it isn't the Cardinals fault. Good teams, and ultimately, successful people in life make things happen, while our team curses our bad luck, and wonders why we can't have an owner that would do anything for success.

How about Rod "Totally inept, you-fans-will-never-know-the-real-reason-I-still-have-a-job, idiotic, gosh-alot-of-teams-sure-are-signing-a-bunch-of-players, how-come-everyone-we-want-won't-play-for-free, life-is-sure-gonna-be-tough-around-Denny, at-least-that-Quan-kid-I-had-to-be-talked-into-worked-out" Graves?

Kinda catchy huh? Like a Village People song!

You answered your own question. Went elsewhere for less money. Management built the team, no one cares to come to.

Based on the strategy we've been using, how about:

FAT BASTARD

I'm sure someone can find the image from Austin Powers and dot he required photoshop work.

When FA's visit, he just chases them around saying,

"Get in my belly!!"
