Now that we have seen what Matt Lienart can do on the field. I'm off the opinion that if he can play out the rest of the season like today he just my grab himself a trophy. His QB rating today over 100 and on the road.

No way. He hasnt even won rookie of the week. It's going to be (deservedly) Marques Colston, IMO.

Or Devin Hester.

Or Reggie Bush.

Joseph Addai

Jones-Drew

Maroney

There are others who might get that over Matt. VY winning some games (not because of him, but still). Jay Cutler if he gets Denver in the playoffs.

Vince Young has lead the Titans to wins over the Giants and the Colts. As much as I like Leinart at this time I would give the award to Young. However there are 4 more games left.

Absolutely agree. Colston has been awesome and has been overshadowed by Bush.

Leinart may not even be the all-rookie team QB, Young has won more games and they take that in to consideration.

He doesn't need awards anyway. He's awesome and will solidify our QB position for years.

ROY:

1. Colston
2. Romo (rookie right?)
3. Leinart/Young

Romo's not a rookie. He's pretty damn good for seeing his first live NFL action this year. Amazing, actually. Top passer rating in the NFL!

Leinart will develop into the best pure passer in this draft IMO. Vince Young, Matt Leinart, and Jay Cutler will all be very good pros, IMO. There've been a lot better first round QBs the past few years than we saw in the mid to late 90s.

Umm... not if he continues to play like he did today... if Denver makes playoffs, it will be because of their defense. What a Plummerish throw that was, tossing the ball up while getting sacked by three players. That was really stupid.

Its nice, but really -- does it matter?

All I am thrilled about is that thus far, Leinart has shown the potential to be a top 5 Qb in the league.

How long has it been since the Cards have had one of those?

Hester is the Rookie of the Year. Talk about impact. He just took another kickoff back for a TD - 96 yards.

Vince Young, Marques Colston, Reggie Bush or even Leinart will get more votes than Hester IMO.

Hands down, he's the ROY. No doubt in my mind. His returns have been BIG, game changers too. NFL record.

Nobody else is even close.

Sorry but even with his 5 TD's KO returners just dont have enough impact on the game overall especially over a 16 game season. What he has done is spectacular but not ROY material IMO.

6 TDS. NFL record.

And punt and kick returners have FAR more impact, even when they aren't scoring, than most give credit for. The field position game wins and loses more games than you'd think.

Vs. us, his TD won the game. His two TDs in this game were the difference in the game (and both of them were huge...Rams had just scored and were trying to make a comeback, and he stopped it.).

The giants game was close, and he ended the game with his return...after that return, the Giants were done.

What he does isn't just return kicks...he snatches hearts.

(Hester also dropped a pick in this game too...he dove..he probably would have got it if he had been standing up and had a shot at an INT return as well).

IMO, there is nobody out there that is more deserving than Hester...and I can't stand the Bears...

And I thought he was a primary candidate before this game...this solidified it...sole owner of the NFL record (35 year old record) just adds to it.

And he has three games left to go...

I think Young will edge out Hester. He has made the difference in just as many games as Hester on a far worse team playing a far more difficult position.
