Would have been nice to keep Bradford so they wouldnt have to destroy Rosen, but I guess pretending he was the problem was convenient at the time.

I think Rosen may still be a good QB, my worries is he will end up like David Carr behind this line and being coached by this staff. Hopefully he can wipe this season from his memory and start anew next season. If for some God forsaken reason they retain Wilks, then Rosen will end up on the trash heap.

I said he sucked in the game thread but truth be told, he has no offensive line, no receivers except Fitz, and an OC who's barely a step above McCoy.

Rosen has no Oline WR and a QB coach that was moved to OC mid season. Give him a real coaching staff, he will be legit legit. Kurt Warner would be bad on this squad

What about Rosen do you not like? Get specific. I want to be mad he never goes over 200 yards passing, but I see receivers running wrong routes, dropping passes, an o line that can’t even protect long enough for a 1 step drop back, an I experinced OC who was promoted 5 years too soon (he was an intern literally last season) I see him going through progressions, making incredibly accurate touch passes. This is the exact reason I didn’t want him starting this season at all. I think it woulda been good for his mental if he wasn’t subjected to this inept offense

It’s really unfair to judge him yet. I’m not trying to be a jerk, but our coaching staff is no where near qualified to be in the NFL. At least not at the positions they currently hold. Wilks & his coordinators are position coaches at best. Leftwich should maybe still be an intern. Not trying to be mean, but that is the gospel truth IMO.

Well I don't know if he can wait it out cause they aint getting fired and by the time that eventually comes he might even swear off Madden because of the ptsd.

He'll be on his third offensive coordinator by the start of next season. He sucks the way Goff and Trubisky sucked their first year. Team is fecal, and a rookie on a bad team always looks like sheet.

Rosen isn't trash but sure is regressing. Major changes need to take place in the off-season and hopefully they will help Rosen. It's really tough to evaluate him with the current team and coaching around him.

He's not playing well but the lack of talent on this roster right now on offense is pretty alarming. 2nd week in a row we picked a guy up off waivers and then started him at RT. We had one starter on the OL yesterday and he's a rookie who's only starting because the starter blew his knee out in the preseason. We had one starting WR playing yesterday, Fitz, the rest were backups or guys off the street or practice squad.

Josh is developing bad habits and that's what the 4th or 5th picksix now? He still has the size and the arm and the brains and the heart to be very good. Whether or not it happens IMO is very dependent on the front office. they have to get better talent and better coaching.

It's way too soon to say he's trash, but I'm willing to say that he's not transcendent. I don't think he's going to be able to overcome the worst OL in the NFL, the worst supporting cast in the NFL, and one of the worst coaching staffs in the NFL.

It feels like the physical tools are there, and the game isn't too fast for him. There isn't much for him to do in this offense, so I think he kind of is getting bored and throwing the ball around. This team has no chance to win games, and the offense can't make first downs. Hard to see what he's learning at this point.

I don't see him going thru progressions - he is going to his 1st read. Granted, the patchwork o-line doesn't give him the time to look at any other receivers. And it's been pointed out he is late on a lot of his throws, so needs to work on his timing ... which usually comes with trusting his receivers.

Rather than overreact to a rookie season by a QB lets see how his numbers compare to some other rookie seasons

Josh Rosen:
3-7 record, 55.4% completion, 3.2% TD% 3.4% INT%, 6.1 YPA, 11 YPC, 68.3 RAT
* Best WR is 35 year old Fitzgerald, Entire starting OL is injured, First time head coach in Steve Wilks has an outdated philosophy

Peyton Manning:
3-13 record, 56.7% completion, 4.5% TD%, 4.9% INT%, 6.5 YPA, 11.5 YPC, 71.2 RAT
* Had a young Marvin Harrison, Marshall Faulk and a competent coach with an outdated philosophy in Jim Mora, Hall of famer

Jared Goff:
0-7 Record, 54.6% completion, 2.4% TD%, 3.4% INT%, 5.3 YPA, 9.7 YPC, 63.6 RAT
* Had no good WRs, HC Fisher living off past successes and an outdated philosophy got fired for this season, likely pro bowler as 3rd year QB and tied for best record in NFL

Jameis Winston:
6-10 record, 58.3% completion, 4.1% TD%, 2.8% INT%, 7.6 YPA, 13.0 YPC, 84.2 RAT
* Selected to pro bowl as a rookie, barely hanging on as a starter in his 4th season, decent but not great overall talent around him, HC Lovie Smith was competent but not great.

Get Rosen weapons and a better HC and he can easily improve the way Peyton and Goff did. Fail to get him those things and he will regress and be out of the league the way Winston is going to.

What an odd selection of disparate quarterbacks. Peyton got let down by a bad defense; Jameis was a Pro Bowl alternate from deep into the bench.

I don't think record really matters much, but he's underperforming by varying degrees all of the QBs picked around him. He's underperforming Brock Osweiler and Ryan Tannehill. He's underperforming Eli Manning. He's perhaps the worst quarterback in the NFL this season, and it's not really close.

It's as wrong to say that there's nothing to be concerned about here as it is to say that Rosen is definitely bad. But he's not doing anything to help the team win games right now, and that's very bad.

His game reminds of Matt Ryan (obviously not in the same level right now, I'm just talking style). I think that's his ceiling, but we may never see it unless we get a ton more talent on offense. Ryan can't carry a team but he can lead an offense that's good enough to win games. The Rosen accuracy issues are concerning but haven't been a problem with him historically so hopefully it's just rookie jitters.

It seems like in the fourth quarters he stops thinking and starts playing aggressive, being more decisive and throwing further down field

Not a knock against Rosen, but Blake Bortles is also a good 4th quarter QB when the opposing defense starts playing soft.

... one of the worst coaching staffs in the NFL.

One Of?? Which coaching staff is comparable? Macdoo and Tulmulusa, whatever their names were, are gone - there is no comparison for Wilks and staff currently.

Gruden is still bad. Dan Quinn is probably bad. Vance Joseph is pretty bad. I mean, garbage still stinks; I don't really want to get into a smelling contest about it. Gregg Williams is pretty bad.
