Just heard on Channel 12.
Rouse was brought back to the valley for medical evaluation.
Johnson continuted on to Flag for practice.

That brings back bad memories.

No kidding!

When my son told me this news, "A couple of Cardinals were in a car accident on the way back up to Flagstaff." My first thought was, "No way!"; someone's screwing around here...

Then I had to explain to him my reaction, and the similar circumstance years ago. Of course that time the outcome was much more severe!

It makes me wonder if this would cause the Cardinals FO to think about re-evaluating Cardinals camp in Flagstaff. Those of you going to training camp better enjoy it, because I believe those days may be limited.

Not just because of this incident. But rather because of Whisenhunt's talking about using ASU's facilities (the indoor practice field, I assume) for a few practices, the last week of pre-season. And previous reports of the Cardinals considering, and Whisenhunt wanting an indoor field at Elliot and Hardy, the Card's Tempe practice location.

If the Cardinals get an indoor practice field in the valley, there will be less reason to travel to Flagstaff for camp. I am fairly certain that training camp practice in the Valley; if or when it comes to that; would not be open practices.

Hopefully he is ok! I'm surprised more of this doesn't happen.

Not saying they were speeding, but it's a difficult trip up and down the mountains on the I-17, especially when it rains.

I personally hate going down the I-17 approaching Bumble Bee ... scares me.

They'll probably stay in Flag because of the altitude. Whiz has said its good for training. But I hate the I-17 drive. I had a blowout last week doing 70 and it was scary.

Definitely way more treacherous coming back down versus going up. And that stretch with all of the crazy twists and turns is extremely scary. I am now the guy who immediately gets in the right hand lane and slows down to 55-60, while watching the plethora of morons speeding my me... I always hope and pray I don't make a turn and see one of those dudes turned over, or worse, flipped over the side-rail and down the cliff...

I'm wondering why the team doesn't just provide a bus or set of limo buses to shuttle the athletes between Phoenix/Tempe and Flagstaff??

The team just signed a four extension to keep TC in flag. Isn't going anywhere anytime soon IMO.

Because then if you have a bad accident the whole team is wiped out!
