My sources are now telling me that Atlanta is also willing to give up Millsap if we throw in first round picks for next season.

McD has the Hawks FO on hold right now while he checks with Babby.

Ya, I heard about a deal involving the Suns getting Horford too. Cool.

It's not like the Suns get any softer if they replace Frye with Anderson and Anderson has actually been very consistent in his career.

You're not worried about his cervical spine surgery in April? I really don't follow NBA injuries but is there a long list of big men that return from this surgery and have a positive impact in the league? And we're not just replacing Frye, we're jettisoning Green.

If the Suns medical staff cleared him I wouldn't have a problem with it and it would be tricky keeping Green beyond this upcoming season anyway.

I don't really have strong feelings about the rumor personally but I can see the reasoning for it. I'm happy there is a FO in place I trust for once.

I have strong feelings about the rumor and just can't see the reasoning for it. My trust in the FO is the reason I discount this rumor out of hand. If it ends up happening as advertised, I'll try to find a way to talk myself into liking the deal but I don't like my chances there.

I would be leery with this kind of deal even if I thought Ryan Anderson was a superstar in the making. As it is, at his best I think he's not quite as good as Channing was in December but better than Frye was from February on. That's not all that exciting to me.

Hey, I've been a Suns fan for 40 years through thin and thin :), but I'm not going that far. :D

I've been a fan since the day the franchise was announced, through THICK and thin. Far more thick than thin IMO. We're each entitled to our own opinion but every time you say this, it sounds like you're saying my son is ugly.:)

By "thin", Steve, I was referring to most of the post players we've had (long term) over the years.

"Thin and thin" sounded more entertaining than "light and undominant".

P.S.: I've never met your son and even if I did, I would never say he's ugly. :)

I don't know but Frye at 5 and Andersen at 4 would give me strange thoughts. :p

I'm not quite old enough for that but I can say I became a serious Suns fan in the early '70s. And I am a native Phoenician after all.

Or did you mean your "sun" is ugly (in the post)?

The "post" on the court, that is. Not on the thread. :)

Some say a pun is the highest form of humor. (I agree.)

Others point out its first two letters are PU.

I think puns are the lowest form of humor. Lucky me, I have friends in low places.

Joe Mama,
I really hope this isn't going to happen. Oh God, and what's worse is the idea of reading BC and Ernknight griping about it for the next two years.

The nature of my gripe would be about the same as with Frye - subpar rebounding from the PF. HIstorically, Anderson is very slightly better than Frye but following the cervical vertebra surgery, he may well be less inclined to battle for the ball. In my search for possible PF replacement, Ryan didn't come close to getting a mention...
