Hasn't he been injury plagued the last couple of years?

he has,...but when Brick retired it left the jets with a couple of train wrecks at LT....Im sure they are banking on clady finally managing to play an entire season.

Dont know what Clady's cap number is but seems like the Broncos just gave him away, realize hes oft injured, but seems like an easy risk for the Jets to take

The Broncos wrote Clady off when they signed Russell Okung. Clady played in only two games in 2013 and missed all of last season.

Even with the bargain bin price, the Jets required Clady to restructure his contract. He took a pay cut to get some guaranteed money.

Good move for both teams. The Broncos got something for a guy who has struggled with health and had a large cap number. The Jets got a potential top 15 LT for a 5th round pick.

Potential top 15? He was the 2nd best LT in the game behind Joe Thomas before his injury. I'd say he has a higher potential than half of the starting LTs in the game.

Manning effect or actual skill ?

Manning made a whole bunch of offensive linemen better than they were, helped with protection calls, and the ball came out very quick.

......that being said, when healthy, Clady is a hell of a left tackle.

I am going with the latter and challenge anyone to prove differently.

Injuries pile up. To think that a player is going to as good as he was before multiple injuries is a bit more optimistic than I am willing to be. Healthy after surgeries/injuries is different than healthy prior to them. That is why I can with certainty say Clady will be a top 15 LT if he can play.

Your first sentence made it sound like he could get no higher than 15th. That is what I was contesting. Sounds like we are on the same page.
