Does the site factor in the number of times a defender commits a foul at the rim? If some defenders foul more than others, that could really skew the FG%, as well as cast a different light on their differing levels of interior defense.

I looked around the site for more details on how the stat is figured but I havn't found anything yet...

I would think a called foul at the rim results in free throws, therefore points, and so would not be considered an effective defensive possession. It would be interesting to note whether a foul is considered an effective defense if the offensive player misses both free throws.

They worded the explanation in terms of FGMs and FGA's, and I believe the official definition is that if you are fouled in the act of shooting and miss the shot it is not recorded as an FGA, but if you are fouled and make the shot it is counted as one. The last part has to be true because otherwise you'd occasionally see players with more made FGMs than FGAs. I'm not certain of the first part.

Assuming I'm right a guy could not improve his scored against percentage by fouling, nor could he up his block count as you don't get credit for a block if you foul. There was no mention of the points resulting from FTs but thats not proof they don't take them into account. And, of course, sometimes fouling is an effective defense.

I believe a shot missed with a foul called is neither a FGA nor, of course, FGM. The foul negates the attempt and is replaced by free throws. Whether it was a 2-point or 3-point shot attempt.

If it is an "and-one", it is a FGA and FGM, followed by the bonus of a free throw. Again, whether it was a 2-point or 3-point shot attempt.

1. Morris is not anywhere near the level of Sullinger. Sullinger can rebound, shoot and score in the low post. Morriss is terrible when his outside shot is not falling. He can not do anything well (consistently.) Sullinger can rebound, at the very least, and he takes better shots.

Sullinger does nothing better than Markieff except rebounding. Sullinger has not even shown the ability to play PF in the NBA. Sullinger takes horrid shots and is extremely inefficient offensively shooting 42% thats your "low post scorer".

Bradley may be the best perimeter defender in the NBA right now.

No but also because its common sense. Just about angle who watches basketball knows that Bradley is one of the best if not the best perimeter defender in the NBA.

Read the posts above you and that should get you a better perspective if you have trouble believing me.

Avery Bradley right now is in the conversation for the worst guard in the entire NBA.

His defensive numbers btw are worse than Dragic. His own team plays better defense when he is not playing at all.

Lets see what McD does this draft. All the Celtics picks in the last few years are horrid and Alex Len does not look good so far.

Sullinger had to come off the bench because he never got himself in shape. Dude is talented but a waste of time.
