I don't get it. Were finally deep enough at RB to not worrie if Williams gets hurt again. No reason we can't get him some touches and see what he's got.

why's he even on the roster. BA seems stubborn on the RB depth chart.

Ryan Williams is the Cardinals ace in the hole for a rainy day. However, I thought it was already raining.

He was deep in Whiz doghouse to. I think his attitude is more the problem seems to be gun shy at this point

Thought he was over being scared?

Maybe he isn't running full force at practice? Has to be something that keeps him from getting a chance.

If he isn't doing all of these things he shouldn't be on the team. Wish he was playing today.

To those of you saying that Williams "deserves" a chance: why? He's not good enough to EARN his way onto the active roster. What did we fans do to deserve having to watch him try and play football?

Something wrong with that guy. And it is not just his body and how it is prone to injury

Sorry... There is no way I will accept that Fonzy and Stepfan Taylor are better answers than Williams.
Something smells very rotten here. Could be a character issue with Williams... Could be anything I guess. But it is not that Fonzy and Taylor are better answers.... No way.

Traded by Tuesday for a conditional low-round pick. Bank on it.

Well, if there's no way that you'll accept it, why bother discussing it. Taylor was nearly as productive in this one game than Williams has been in his entire professional career.

You might consider asking yourself why it's difficult for you to believe that Ryan Williams might just not be good at football.

I'd love to, but who's gonna give us even that for a guy with a significant injury history that hasn't played a down all season?

Trust me, I'd take a 6th right away.

Tidbit from Urban's Falcons Aftermath blog:

"– That Ellington and Taylor looked good was not a good sign for Ryan Williams, who was inactive as it was. Barring a rash of injuries, yes, it’s possible Williams never is activated this season. But there is a belief in the organization he is worth keeping around, so unless some blow-me-away trade offer is made – and I don’t see it – Williams isn’t going to get cut. No reason to."

I don't get it -- a 2nd round pick who has barely played in his career is worth keeping around, but not worth dressing at all. "We're really high on you Ryan -- if every other back on our roster gets hurt, we are totally committed to playing you over a street free agent!"

Well, Ellington is obviously better at this point and Taylor looked good during meaningfull carries. The carries in the 4th didnt look great but they wouldnt for any RB.

Maybe these two are simply better than williams.

At this point I have to wonder if Lil' Sweetness still remembers how to play the game for kripe's sake.

I like what I've seen Ellington and Taylor (who wouldn't?) so I get the feeling that we'll cut or trade Williams next season...and this paid vacation he's enjoyed during this season-o-rehab will allow him to tear it up somewhere else...for 7 games...then pop goes the weasel cuz the weasel goes pop!

Well, the head coach has sole control over who's active on game day, and the General Manager has final say on who makes the 53-man roster.

Draw your own conclusions about what this means.
