They said it has to be at least an hour after the lightning stops so I don't think this is happening they were just showing lightning a little while ago and they said the lightning has to be at least 8 miles away for 60 minutes

In my very unprofessional opinion, the storm is mainly moving to the Northwest. Most of the yellow and orange cells seem to be moving that way, unless they circle. Of course, there are always smaller cells that have a mind of their own.

The lightning seems to be the biggest concern. If the lightning has to be 8 miles away for 60 minutes, that might take a while.

The storm is still going through the greater Phoenix and nearby cities and towns.

Tim Healy says they are still in a rain delay. Also, lightning is still in the area. There will be an update at 10:45 pm.

The report was not optimistic, as the storm activity could be in the area until 2 am.
