Darren Collison, Willie Cauley-Stein and Rudy Gay would be interesting players that the Suns might consider.

If Rudy leaves, does that mean the Kings are a playoff team?

Don't want Rudy Gay. He is a good player--just good enough to keep Warren on the bench, not good enough to be the star that we need. Therefore, he hurts rebuilding.

WCS would be an essential part of any trade with Sac. It would have to include some really good future picks.

What are they going to send us? Honestly, I would want WCS. Period.

Maybe the Suns should acquire Gay so that they can improve by getting rid of him later.

This is the sort of "Out of the box" thinking this franchise needs to get back on track.

If the Suns feel like Knight has a higher ceiling there won't be a better time to trade Bledsoe. He's coming off the best season of his career where he put up gaudy numbers and he is locked into a pretty nice contract for a player of his ability.

It does make the front office look stupid though. They've said over and over for 2 years that they are committed to the 2 PG system.

This front office looking stupid is sort of relative no? I mean, if your FO is at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, I doubt teams looking down can see much variation in your depth.

The last thing any GM should worry about is looking stupid. Keep your head clear and do what is best for the team.

The alternative is looking just plain stubborn.

The Phoenix Suns have interest in trading Eric Bledsoe this offseason, but an acceptable deal may be difficult for the team to find.

Bledsoe signed a new deal last offseason with the Suns after a prolonged restricted free agency.

There was a reason,” one general manager told SN, “that no one wanted to give him that ($70 million) contract last year. I think you still have to worry about his health. I think you worry about how coachable he is, too.”

Bledsoe has four years and $57 million left on his contract.

The Suns are expected to sign Brandon Knight to a new contract.

One team expected to express interest in Bledsoe are the Sacramento Kings.

I think people need to stop assuming that Bledsoe is some hot asset when it's obvious by now that he's not.

The only reason I mentioned Rudy Gay is that he would bring some star power attachment to the Suns. I hope the Suns do not fall in love with names. My preference is the Suns get Collison, Willie Cauley-Stein and something else that fits including draft picks. I think Collison is a steal for the money.

One GM speaking who wants to trade for Eric, but doesn't want to pay for him. Bad assumptions here.

First, the Phoenix has to move Bledsoe because of signing Knight. False. The plan has been for the two to play together. They CAN trade Bledsoe because of Knight, but it is by no means fire sale time.

Second, that GM's were worried about injuries or coachability. They just knew Phoenix would match.

This deal is marginally better than the potential Knicks deal.

Reports are out now also that the Lakers are looking to trade D'Angelo Russell in a package for Cousins. I think that will effect any trade to the Kings. If Cousins is traded I highly doubt they retain interest in Bledsoe but if the Lakers can bring in Cousins I imagine they would be interested in Bledsoe as well although they may have nothing to offer since they'd most likely have to part with any and all assets to bring in Cousins.

That's the rub. Most of the trade scenarios I have read the last few days all sound craptastic for the Suns. Almost as if people view the Suns as a team that should be happy for what they get. The team absolutely can't afford to make a lopsided trade that involves Bledsoe.
