Here's a REALLY HUGE thing that supports the assessment offered by Sir.

The Suns were the 28th worst offense AFTER Dragic left. That's all on Bledsoe. The teams worse? You don't want to know.
He didn't carry the Team by himself so he has no value?
Nobody would disagree that defense is the best part of his game right now.

Dragic wasn't the only player to leave either.

ALL on Bledsoe?? You mean previously heralded scorer Gerald Green being benched, Morris twins poor attitude, and Len's inability to stay healthy were all Bledsoe's fault?

This part is dead on:

"or McDonough's lying (which is not exactly an unprecedented move for a sports GM)"

That goes for ownership or coaches too.

I remember when he got hired he said he loves Scola and that he won't ever be traded. Then he said that Gortat won't be traded and that the Suns will start contract negotioations on a contract extension with him in the near future.

McD is hardly trust worthy in these type of things.

I don't have the needed interest but for those that do, go look at what he has said over time.

A weasel of the absolute highest order.

Do your own research.

7th to 28th?

Make up all the excuses you want.

Where were the Suns last year?

Ironically... ahead of Miami in the standings.

What the Suns really missed what Thomas, that and Knight getting hurt.

Dragic was the same player for Miami that he was in Phoenix. And Miami fell out of playoff contention after acquiring him. This "before and after" idea turns into a big steaming turd when you factor in Dragic's Miami adventure.

Yep. Bledsoe is responsible for the bevy of poor personnel moves made with the roster during the season. Bledsoe is also responsible for the questionable coaching moves during games.

Blame Bledsoe

It's not Bledsoe's fault he's the best player on this team... That falls on the shoulders of the owner and GM. However, it is a fact nonetheless and one that, until corrected, will haunt this team...

Yes, Bledsoe is a good player but he's not good enough to be the best player on a playoff team.

This is kind of a tricky statement. Is Chris Paul the best player on the Clippers team? A player can be very good and still not be the best player on a playoff team.

When the Suns had Nash, Marion, Stoudemire and Joe Johnson was one of the other three players (besides Nash) not good enough?

How about who is the best player for OKC, Durant or Westbrook and is the other not good enough?

Geography is the only thing that prevented this from being false this year.

I don't think you're going to win a title, or come close, with Bledsoe as your best guy you can make the playoffs. He just can't carry the patchwork lineup we were running the 2nd half of last season there.

I agree. I have not really thought about this much and I know comparing players outside of their own positions is hard....but.....I wonder what level of impact would Bledsoe have on a better team.

Do you see him having Marion, Amare, Nash or even Joe Johnson level impact to a really good team?

Kind of curious where people think Bledsoe falls. Obviously, he is no Nash or even Amare IMO. However, does he have the impact say of a Marion or Joe?

Yes, I think on a good team he has potential to be a monster. He is one of the best defensive guards in the league and he is a terror in the open court. If he played on a team that had more guys capable of drawing defenders, there by creating more space (similar to what he and Dragic and Frye had going in 2014) he can have a huge impact on both ends.

Last year there was little space to work with. A bunch of guys who dribble after receiving passes or are not legit threats from anywhere but around the hoop. His turnovers are not pretty but I think they'd be dramatically improved if defenses had to play the other guys on the team with more respect. Last year Markieff was the only other guy who could consistently command respect but he scores isolated on the interior, not exactly a "catch and shoot" guy who the defense can't leave alone. You can leave Markieff, play the passing lane and if the pass gets to him he isn't going to blow by you or get a quick release, rather he posts up or does his dribble shoot routine.

The pieces we had on offense were ill fitting. Booker will hopefully help, Knight should help, more PT for Warren should help, and hopefully they can dump the Morrii for guys who are willing to play off of players who are not their siblings.

I think you're missing my point... It's not a hit on Bledsoe that he isn't good enough to be the best player on a playoff team. He is who he is...
Chris Paul is light-years ahead of Bledsoe in every aspect of a basketball player. And yes, the argument can me made that he's the second best player on that team, behind Blake.
At present, the Suns have nobody (including Bledsoe) remotely close to the level of Paul, let alone Blake...

Actually I was responding to devilalum. See his quote below.

Yes, Bledsoe is a good player but he's not good enough to be the best player on a playoff team.

I think being the best player on a playoff team is not necessarily the right criteria to measure a player. If Westbrook is not perceived to be as good a player as Durant, does that make him any less of a player for OKC?

It's a free world man. And it wasn't a troll. The excuses made for Bledsoe are funny. You should be happy I posted that stat on the offensive efficiency decline. I had never seen it posted anywhere else. I think it highlights what should be a clear sign McD doesn't know basketball and Bledsoe isn't a PG.

Let's play a game. Figure out which NBA point guard is who:

Player A - 17.0 PPG 6.1 APG 5.2 RPG 1.6 SPG
Player B - 14.4 PPG 4.9 APG 1.9 RPG 0.6 SPG

when you've come to another team's website to bash the team AND it's fan, that's the definition of troll... especially when you've previously said you weren't going to come back. Bashing our team, fans and going back on your word = troll in this and every other universe.

Just trying to help you guys out, Cheese. You're going to need it with Bledsoe as your PG.

That should be right about the moment Miami fans look at Goran's 100 million dollar deal and say to themselves "Oh ****".
