I think it is maneuvering. The Lakers and Cousins' agent are trying to force Sac. I would not be surprise if they are trying to force the Suns into a bad trade too.

Its much better to keep Bledsoe than to be manipulated into a bad trade.

This deal is marginally better than the potential Knicks deal.

I disagree. Porzingis bust potential is huge, but so is his star potential. IMO Willie is going to, at best, be a defensive specialist and at worst (and most likely) a goof ball who never can wrap his head around the NBA game and flames out in a few seasons.

WCS didn't improve in 3 years at Kentucky. He either has a really low ceiling or a really low basketball IQ.

I would do a Porzingis trade just because I think it would be shot at a potential superstar. I would do the same for DeAngelo Russell.

If Bledsoe is not a valuable asset why is it that multiple teams are reportedly interested in trading for him?

Which teams? Kings and Knicks? The two franchises with maybe the most dysfunctional front offices in the league?

I would trade Bledsoe for WCS and Mclemore but idk about Porzingis.

Porzingis reminds me a lot of Andrea Bargnani and WCS reminds me a lot of DeAndre Jordan.

Isn't it funny how the Lakers who everyone thought had no assets like 12 months ago and the Suns who were apparently loaded with assets have switched places?

The Lakers are now in talks with the Kings to acquire a top 3 big man in the NBA while the Suns haven't been linked to Cousins in any shape or form.

So I guess the Lakers assets are worth more than the Suns assets?

Its gonna be disgusting to see the Lakers rebuild or retool much faster than the Suns.

Lakers don't have any assets beyond their last 2 draft picks that haven't played in the NBA yet and future draft picks.

Just because someone reports that they are "trying to make a deal" doesn't mean they have anything of value to offer.

Why would the Suns be linked to Cousins?? The Suns could literally offer their entire stating 5 and it still wouldn't come close to being enough to gain the interest of the Kings.

The Suns created a monster problem for themselves in that, Bledsoe is their best starter. A huge recipe for mediocrity at best. Bledsoe would be if he were the 3rd best player on a team, not the #1 best player...

The point is that it was believed that the Suns had these great assets while Lakers had nothing just a year ago and now the tables have turned.

I think people need to stop assuming that Bledsoe is some hot asset when it's obvious by now that he's not.

That's what I've been saying for a long time, but everyone here is convinced he is this amazing player on a good contract, and that we are lucky to have him.

Bottom line is that Bledsoe has very little value. I am sure there are teams who'd like to have him, but they won't take him off our hands and pay premium.

Not me... I got bashed last season by those people though. Like I said in some other thread, Bledsoe would be a nice player as your 3rd best player on your team. But when he's your #1 best player? Ouch... That spells trouble and a mediocre at best quagmire...

Sure, I shouldn't have over-generalized. I know I am not the only one (you, Eric, BC and a few other have a more realistic view on Bledsoe), but a large majority of this board tend to overvalue Bledsoe, and the Suns' players in general.

I love how some seem to think that the Suns have offered up Bledsoe and have been turned down when there isn't any evidence of that. It is just as likely, or more so, that teams are calling about Beldsoe and have been turned down.

Either way supports my assessment of Bledsoe's value- no sane team will give up anything of real value for him.

For sure... Doesn't change my opinion about Bledsoe though... ;)

Huh?

I don't know of anything that supports your assessment of Bledsoe.

He isn't going to bring back a superstar player by himself right now, no.
So he isn't worth a top 10 or 15 player. Doesn't mean that he doesn't have value or that some team wouldn't give up value for him.

Look at the videos I posted in the other thread or the highlights from his career high game against Houston last year and tell me he doesn't have potential and that other sane teams would not want that player.

I think you made a judgement a long while ago and now are just being stubborn. I was pretty down on him at the end of the season I think mostly out of frustration at how the season ended but looking back at what he did do and what else is out there in the league and in FA I have come back a little bit.

Sorry but Russell (not Randle) has more value than anyone on our roster. Dirt cheap contract and potential is better than bigger contract and proven good but not great talent.

This is the same board that griped about Bled all season yet now we think he should being us a haul of assets? Let's be real. He's probably worth Rudy Gay and at best a top 10 protected 1st round pick.

Who are you talking about on the board that thinks he is bringing back a haul of assets by himself?

It is hard to trade up in size. The Suns need size. More likely to acquire in FA.

Russell by himself isn't bringing back a superstar player either.

Russel may have more trade value than Bledsoe before even playing one game in the league.

He absolutely does but I don't see the big deal. In today's game he is more valuable than most players right below that all star caliber of player.

Paul Coro: Hornacek told @SiriusXMNBA that NY called about a Bledsoe trade. “Eric is a big part of our future and there was no entertainment of that.”

I'm sure some here that know it all and come up with the poorest logic on a regular basis will tell us how he's lying and it's really the Suns can't find anyone to take him.

Lakers have better assets than the Suns because the media love to talk about the Lakers and report their desire to trade for Cousins. The Lakers have two rookies who are assets mainly due to their draft position and presumption of potential. They are not getting Cousins unless they can pull a hell of a lot more out of their hat. Suns have shown no interest in Cousins.

"'Eric Bledsoe is still a young player, in his mid-20s,' McDonough said. 'He's gotten better every year he's been in the NBA. ... It would take a whole lot for us to move Eric Bledsoe, and that's something we haven't even considered. It hasn't been discussed.'"
Source: Ryan McDonough says the Suns aren't looking to deal Eric Bledsoe | FOX Sports.

So either the Suns aren't trying to move Bledsoe and teams are just doing this to screw with them, McDonough's lying (which is not exactly an unprecedented move for a sports GM) or the most likely scenario: it's somewhere in a gray area in between the two worlds. In that scenario McDonough or one of his assistants has called around for standard trade talks, teams have suggested a Bledsoe swap, and been surprised at the Suns' reaction not being "absolutely, no, under no circumstances." There's just no way to know exactly what game is being played out here, but you shouldn't rule any possibility out.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...orm-kentucky-west-with-trade-for-eric-bledsoe

This is all a bunch of nonsense. Bledsoe isn't going anywhere.

Here's a REALLY HUGE thing that supports the assessment offered by Sir.

The Suns were the 28th worst offense by efficiency AFTER Dragic left (btw, 7th before). That's all on Bledsoe. The teams that were worse? You don't want to know.
