The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler reports that a familiar face will be at the New Orleans Saints team practice facility on Saturday -- LSU Tigers star tight end Mason Taylor is visiting Saints HQ as he continues to prepare for the 2025 NFL draft. The Saints previously caught up with Taylor at LSU's pro day where he was seen chatting with Josh Hill, the team's longtime tight end who joined the scouting department after hanging up his cleats.

It's not clear whether or not this counts as an official 30 visit or part of the Saints' local pro day, where high school and college prospects from the area can meet with pro scouts and go through timing drills just like at the combine. Either way, Taylor will be at the team facility meeting with the Saints, and they would do well to consider drafting him.

Sure, the Saints just paid Juwan Johnson a pretty penny after he tested the market in free agency. But they've also spoken often this spring about needing to double-dip at tight end, and we're guessing NFL journeyman Jack Stoll isn't the only addition they'll make to the depth chart. Johnson has been inconsistent to this point in his career. Foster Moreau is recovering from knee surgery, and so is Taysom Hill. We didn't see much from Dallin Holker as a rookie backup last year. Taylor would be a big upgrade as a blocker and his skills as a receiver (129 catches for 1,308 yards in his LSU career) speak for themselves. And he's clearly on the team's radar one month before the draft.
