Whoops, misread it, just his shares in the company are worth 17-23 million. That isn't his net worth

That couldn't be right.

How would he put together a 401M$ deal? He said during the conference that he had already done several real estate deals in that dimensions.

Steve Kerr will be involved in draft discussions, FA recruitement, trades, FA signing....

Bryan Colangelo is the GM and his head is on the line but THEY make the decisions as a whole.

Sarver is LOADED! He co founded National Bank of Arizona, is head of the 14 largest home builder in the US and another one of his company owns a majority of the real estate in downtown San Diego

Colangelo just said that when Amare worked out before the draft he made a decision already that he was our guy before they saw the rest even.

Price could go up to 415 or 450M$. Didn't understand that completely.
It depends if the team does well or ticket sales increase dramaticly. If the Suns get to the playoffs or Finals the NBA gives money to the teams. Barkley and Sean Elliot will be part of the partnership!!!

Charles Barkley and Sean Elliott will also be part of the organization?

How about Reggie Jackson and Phil Mickelson?

Didn't hear their names mentioned..... no big detail were given but I think Robert was going to some shock value by saying Barkley and Elliott would be involved.

Well it seems like this is a very good thing happening.

Colangelo says it was perfect.

Maybe they get Lute Olson as new assistant coach now? ;)

Seal Elliott (UofA)
Steve Kerr (UofA)
Charles Barkley (Suns)
Robert Sarver (Tucson, Bank of Arizona...)

Lots of local guys involved.

I am just worried that the cost of the team may keep us from spending money on the team.

Does that mean Kerr has to give up his broadcasting career? Are there any conflict-of-interest issues when a broadcaster owns part of another team? I guess he could still be a studio analyst.

There's something ironic about having Kerr involved. He never found a role on the Suns and I think that most Suns fans, early in his career, were prepared to conclude that he'd never amount to anything. But then he wound up winning titles with two different organizations as one of the league's best role-playing sharpshooters. So now he comes back to own part of the team that gave up on him prematurely? Kind of weird.

when a team signs a guy to a 100 million dollar deal, they don't give him all 100 million at once. We are looking at an extra 15 million bucks in the first year.

Hopefully, the investors can infuse enough money into the team so they can sign a guy or two and get the fan base excited again.

Steve Kerr just said that one of his ideas would maybe be to get a veteran PG wether it is in FA or trade who can put together the team.

What veteran PGs are potentially available? Nash isn't going anywhere, this board doesn't like Sura, and Hudson's health is questionable.

Damon Jones might be the best available in FA.

Unless you consider Kobe Bryant a PG as well as a SG.

I just hope they don't start brining in tired old UofA grads like Damon Stoudemire

But don't forget.

Steve Kerr is also pro-Kobe. He wrote an article that the Suns should pursue Kobe.

He also wrote the first article saying the Magic need to trade TMac if they don't get Okafor.

He is also extremely high on Amare when he did TNT broadcasts.
