Colangelo just said that when Amare worked out before the draft he made a decision already that he was our guy before they saw the rest even.
It depends if the team does well or ticket sales increase dramaticly. If the Suns get to the playoffs or Finals the NBA gives money to the teams. Barkley and Sean Elliot will be part of the partnership!!!slinslin said:

Does that mean Kerr has to give up his broadcasting career? Are there any conflict-of-interest issues when a broadcaster owns part of another team? I guess he could still be a studio analyst.
There's something ironic about having Kerr involved. He never found a role on the Suns and I think that most Suns fans, early in his career, were prepared to conclude that he'd never amount to anything. But then he wound up winning titles with two different organizations as one of the league's best role-playing sharpshooters. So now he comes back to own part of the team that gave up on him prematurely? Kind of weird.

when a team signs a guy to a 100 million dollar deal, they don't give him all 100 million at once. We are looking at an extra 15 million bucks in the first year.SweetD said:

What veteran PGs are potentially available? Nash isn't going anywhere, this board doesn't like Sura, and Hudson's health is questionable.
