Gonna be a big year for our young linebackers Acho, Okafor and Minter and I have faith in all of them

I'm sure a unathletic backup caliber LB is really going to save the season

Acho and Okafor are not even remotely bad athletes, this poor Texas EX would watch games the Longhorns played just to see them because the rest of the team sure the hell was not going to offer a win. Some might consider Minter not athletic as far as speed but hardly is he lacking in instincts and strength. Point, our young LBs are solid at the very least and with the talent of the D-Line and our Secondary... thinking the season is shot is ludicrous

Quick, name Navarro Bowman's backup? He's pretty much done for SF this year too. Even if he does return, he's likely a shell of himself, for this year anyway. Whose going to save their season?

Acho has been a very solid player for the Cardinals and had a worse case scenario injury (timing wise) last season. I really believe he is a bubble player right now. IF he performs like he has in the past he will surely make the roster and I would love to see Acho bring his game to the next level.

But, just the fact that Acho is not 100% safe, that shows the talent the Cardinals have collected on the edges.

John Abraham
Matt Shaughnessey
Sam Acho
Alex Okafor
Kareem Martin
Marcus Bernard

The only "hole" in that group is a pass rusher for the future, IMO

I know college success doesn't always translate to the NFL, but both Martin and Okafor were better in college than Acho. Seeing how good Acho has played when healthy makes me very excited to see what Martin and Okafor can do. I really wouldn't be shocked if one of those 2 end up being our "pass rusher of the future".

When a team with the worst O-Line ( they graded out #32 ) can win 10 games in a season , it is due to superb COACHING !!

Let's look beyond the worst O-Line .
When a team brings in players at other positions (that form an expansion team look on offence), and win 10 games , it is due to superb COACHING !!

When a team brings in a new coaching that installs new systems on both sides of the ball(while facing the adversities mentioned above), and win 10 games , it is due to said coaches doing ONE HELL'UV A SUPERB COACHING JOB !!

My absolute confidence in this coaching staff is not going to waver until they show me that it should !!

Onward with our SuperBowl Journey !!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good point. I'm sure some people might just point to how great the defense was as being the reason we won 10 games, but there is no way this team gets to 10 games without the offense stepping up in the 2nd half of the season. I think part of the great coaching effort was just simply keeping these guys believing in the system (especially on offense) when things weren't going good early in the season. Also the adjustments made throughout the year on both sides of the ball were very good.

The un-athletic Acho was tops in the 3 cone drill at the Combine, which is generally recognized as the best gauge of athleticism.

Even his 40 yard dash was around 4.65.
So calling him unathletic is just lack of information

Exactly and maybe you could get away with calling him "un-explosive" due to his not so impressive broad jump and vertical jump numbers, but certainly not un-athletic.

When a team with the worst collection of QBs in NFL history, in addition to a horrendous Oline coach, can go on an 11-2 run that's coaching! Oh wait all those guys got fired. Because they didn't have the talent.

When Dansby left DWash was a super stud and the only reason Dansby had a fantastic season. DWash was the guy who made the D work. Now DW is gone and people are saying we won't even miss him.

Well I guess that's what we have to do as fans. If he's on our roster he's All-Pro and as soon as he's not he's easily replaced. Otherwise, especially as Cardinal fans, we'd go nuts.

Oh wait. Too late for me. :D

Then how come he doesn't play anywhere that fast or agile on the field? Watching him play, you can easily see he is too small and stiff to be anything special. Hell, I'd even give the credit for the majority of his career sacks to Ray Horton's scheme rather than his own ability.

You see what you want, I guess.

I see - 6'3 - 257
12 sacks
07 forced fumbles
05 passes defended
02 interceptions
93 tackles

(good size and numbers given his number of starts)

As a person, I think Acho is one of the absolute best.

As a football player, I think he can be very good but not elite.
