Prevent defense or no defense at all when we're up. QB taking, what, five sacks in the final minute of regulation/OT?

I wouldn't even call these guys the same old Cards. I usually expected to lose with the team from back in the day. I expect, perhaps foolishly, this team to win when they are leading at the end of the 4th. This hurts more than the same old Cards cause we have been to the promised land and now we know what we are missing.

Agreed! But when it is all said and done. IT IS WHiz's fault. I mean last week we pass when we should run it to kick the fg. And this week we run 2 dive plays and throw a 4 yard pass on 3rd and 9 when a 10 yard pass ends the game. We never adjust. Like the last 2 series. We get sacked 5 times...Gee is it obvious they are coming hard...and yet we are running long detailed routes...What about a SLANT!!! which was ran on us like 400 times....

As emotional as we all are, this is certainly a knee jerk reaction. You give the guy one offseason to fix this mess. Whis has the capability. Recall that this is the same coach who has yet to lead us to a losing season, given us two division titles and one SB appearance.

Those just all happen to be important areas so make the rest of the team look terrible. I'd say we need another MLB as well because we can't count on Lennon & Hayes for much longer...oh and TE but the TE never features in our offense so maybe not. We also need more CB depth because Michael Adams for all the good he does on ST's is a liability in coverage...and we probably should start grooming AW's replacement pretty soon.

I said something similar in another thread. Sad when you're up by two TDs and, because you have been a Cards fan for so long, there is that something inside you that, while you try your best to ignore it, says "We're gonna lose."

SOC is right... This looks like the team that played in 2005...Billy Davis is the EXACT same type of Coordinator as CLANCY: the same.

Even in our SB year the team does not hold on 2 minutes...This team has ZERO and I mean ZERO knowledge on how to put a team away. The opponent is NEVER out of it and they know it... D NEVER gets the stop when its needed and the O NEVER gets that one or two first downs that could Ice a game.

Pass rush!!! Did you see what Allen was doing when the game was on the line? Thats the biggest element this team needs...edge rushers. And many of them.

That started a rant about 50 or 60 seconds long with a stream of consciousness dump that my family is still laughing about, they want me to warn them next time so they can youtube it.

LOl..But then why do so many people get mad at me when I type my rants during the games. I am no different then any fan here. The sad thing is..There are many teams that choke but you dont get fans ranting because it is not a normal occurance. We find more ways to lose football games than any team in history.

We are treading thin thin ice here. For the last 2 years we won games that we shouldnt have...Now we are going back to what we once were...And that is scary because I thought we broke the curse. But it is like the movie Drag me to Hell...Just when you think it is over...The demon pulls us back into the abyss.

They are playing like it this year. If not for the OT loss, but for the Rhodes fumble at the beginning of the game, and the continuing unexplainable drop off in Fitzgerald's ability to catch the big catch when we really need it.

I don't get mad at you mainly because i don't come online during the game. If I did you wouldn't get as much hate.

I said "Wait for it...." she left and called back later to give me an "I told you so"...than I broke the news "We Suck Again!" she could not believe it...what a joke of a D we ran when the game is on the line...over and over and over again...Davis, the OL, the QB, the play calling...all in the "afraid to do anything mode"...we deserved to lose again and it's time to make changes...Keith and Brown did more watching in the 4Q than they did blocking, Sendlein was getting his ass handed to him and DA missed to perfect opportunities to get a big play when we needed it...Grimm has done nothing to improve this line or our running game...I would rather have Bugle back and since DA is afraid to play and can't hit open receivers how much worse could Skelton be? Whoi cares at this point... we might as well find out how bad the CLEANSING needs to be to be competitive next year...We need an OC bad, we need a DC bad, we need an O-Line bad, we need a QB bad...sick of the excuses and the pandering...just do something to make the fans believe you are really trying to fix the problems versus continuing to tell us "these things can be fixed"... I'll have to BS on that one
