Now it's 11-3 with 2 outs in the 3rd. We have a very talented batting order. No more .100 hitters (except for the two pitchers who want Mathis to call their games). 'Sorry, Chris Owings, that means you (as well as Marrero). We'll probably keep Dyson as our designated pinch runner.

I’m just so happy to see 11-3!! Even if still early-
Of course, the pods are helping us with about a half dozen blooper defensive plays so far. Thanks pods!!

15-4 in the bottom at the end of the 4th. The D-backs batting order is making a statement. We're baaack (from the DL)!

We knew what you meant, AZ Native.

At least I did!

Season high scoring - excellent

Hey- they took Ray out in the fifth, so he doesn’t get the win? Do they have to pitch a certain number of innings? (I’m still learning some of the more detailed rules)

No Ray will not get the win a starter has to pitch five full innings

Final score -- 20-5. D-backs previous high was 18 runs. And we hold on to 1st place.

A day game tomorrow at 1 PM. A win would be 3 out of 4 vs. the Padres.

I'll be watching the Mercury game noon 'til 2:00, then switching to the D-backs.

Both 1st place teams. It's a nice feeling. And the Suns 2-0 in the Summer League so far.

My three favorite teams.

Crazy, Avila went 3 for 3 with a HR. Guess he needed a 10 day break to get his mojo back.
And being in a lineup with five solid hitters instead of light hitting .100 hitters in the heart of the order. It helps each hitter when there is quality throughout the lineup.

Hopefully, our stars can stay off the Disabled List for the rest of the season. No crazy catch attempts or slides. It is just not worth it.

Yes, Torey has stated that he is going to rotate players regularly. I guess we are not going to see our best lineup together until, maybe the World Series? :)

At least now, with what looks like a solid 1-6 in the batting order, we'll alway have four sold hitters in the lineup.

That is quite an improvement over Ketel Marte and Chris Owings hitting in the power spots of the batting order.

Peralta/Goldy/Lamb/Pollock/Souza/Avila is a very solid group of power hitters, even if we never see all of them at one time.

Marte had a crazy-good stretch and remains a threat more so than Ahmed or Owings.

Well, they got off to a lead in the 1st yesterday, so we scored 20 runs.

We're just toying with the Pods. :)

Although I am troubled with that 28 pitch 1st inning by Grienke.
