FWIW, Ahmed is having his best offensive season of his career. Whatever approach he’s taking, it’s working for him better than previous approaches.

He just isn’t a good offensive player.

When you boil it all down, this team has one extremely good offensive player - Goldy, one very good offensive player in Perralta, Pollack who can be good but is having a terrible season, a good hitting 3rd baseman in Escobar, and a load of less than good hitters in Marte, Ahmed, Souza, Avila/Mathis/Murphy... Jay and Descalso are not everyday players and could be nice bats off the bench on a seriously contending team... But that’s it. That’s all we got. Goldy... Perralta... a nice bat in Escobar, and then squat...

Something is up with Pollack. I think he is hurt but not badly enough to land on DL

Wow! Chase Field is empty.

It is one thing to understand why.

It's something else to see it.

As Robbie Ray strikes out the side in the top of the 1st.

Starting off like the other 10 games...... Not going to give Ray any help on offense.

It's funny that we blame the other team's fans for us not having a large crowd. If this board of avid fans feel like we do, how can we expect a fair weather fan to pay to go to the game? It's like a snowball heading for hell.

Sad isn't it, how we know the reason why our home time stadiums fill up is due to the other team's fans.

DD coming through.

The Mercury were eliminated by a 4th quarter surge led by Sue Bird (wearing a mask for the broken nose she sustained when hit by her teammate in a previous game).

So, after a brief time out, I'm back to watch just about every inning of the D-backs the rest of the way. 'Good to see that we're up 6-0 in the 8th.

Archie brought in to pitch against the 7-8-9 hitters to take some of the pressure off.

He still gave up a double but here we do to the top of the 9th. The first of a 7 game winning streak.
