So what's your point? Seriously, the guy isn't going anywhere, and the only hope we have is for him to improve, which it appears he is doing. What else do you want? Sure, it'd be great if he sold the team, but that isn't going to happen.

Babby appears to be a decent hire, and McD and Hornacek seem like great additions, so while nobody is jumping up and down, there's good reason to be cautiously optimistic.

I just don't think it's worth being so angry about. The days of the Messiah Steve Kerr are gone--time to move on.

My point is, Im allowed to dislike Rnert Sarver, and have good reason too. It's frustrating to me that he won't really fully own up to his mistakes, he takes half ownership of them, and our softie media guys let him off the hook.

I mean Bruce Cooper was lauding him for doing the right thing with Amare. That whole "Sarver was right about Amare" thing is moronic. The guy was an asset (don't believe me, look at the contract NY gave him), to get zero for an asset is the definition of bad sports management.

But we didn't get zero.

Really, I think the big thing I agree with you about is Phoenix media. Bruce Cooper has no real clue and Bickley is just an idiot.

We got cap space, but they should've tried to do a sign and trade, get some picks, role players, something. I was OK with losing Amare, just not the way they did it.

They were shopping him for years, and nobody was willing to part with anything of value. If you want to hate Sarver, that's fine, but using Amare as an example of why Sarver is worse than Hitler is just silly.

I was disappointed he didn't mention the 2010 off-season as one of his biggest mistakes. Replace Amare with Turkoglu/Childress/Warrick Ugh. From contender to pretender. One of if not the worst Suns off-seasons ever.

Letting Stoudemire go for cap space was a good decision. Frittering away that cap space on overpaid bench warmers was a bad decision. Some people seem to think that the bad second decision negates the first good decision, but that isn't the case: the decisions were independent.

last year's off-season was just as much a disaster, but we were saved from ourselves when Charlotte matched that insane contract for Gordon.

The decisions may have been independent, but the results are related, and the bad second decision does negate the first good decison. What good is it to jettison Amare and his contract when you fritter away the available cap space on the Hedo/Frye/Childress troika? Good decision wasted.

Holding onto the core of the 2010 team would have been far more enjoyable than the anti-entertainment we've been watching since Amare's departure. I'd even argue that if we would have just kept together the 2010 core with the addition of Gortat, that we would have been competitive in the now watered down West. Remember, that 2010 Suns team swept essentially the same Spurs roster that won the west.

Instead we were treated to laughably bad play from a completely uncompetitive group, and now are saddled with the least talented roster in the NBA. Progress? I think not.

He had an interview after he hired McDonough in which he admitted that made so many mistakes and that he should have just started rebuilding earlier instead of trying to stay afloat which turned into such a big disaster and everything. It was in that same interview that he said he's giving up complete control of basketball decisions to McD and that Babby will be there to help if McD needs it. But even Babby seemed to have conceded basketball decisions entirely to McDonough.
