While people are calling for his head, unless he gets hurt I think nothing happens before the bye week. If the team isn't 4-3 by then a change is possible. With a veteran player who has played well historically, teams will give them a long leash or they can forget signing veteran free agents in the near future. Also there are fans, some on this board, who don't believe he's done. I'm disappointed, but not totally sure he's done. If the Cards decide to change they likely go to Gabbert to see what they've got in real game situations. They already have seen Stanton. The last 9 weeks are plenty of time to see if Gabbert fits BA's offense. That way BA can make a decision on his future as well. The Cards can also see if the chemistry is there. A QB change wouldn't fix everything, but it's the first step.

It just boggles my mind that 2 games into an NFL season most fans feels guy who's thrown 95 TDs & 55 ints in barely over 4 years in Red is toast. Lol

Granted the offense has started off not as fast as we like but I don't think he's done yet. Everything that's not clicking with this offense isn't squarely on #3's shoulders IMO. Looking at the positive...Last year he struggled throwing the deep ball & this year he's putting them on the money for the most part.

I'm still VERY skeptical of Gabberts talent to be the man. Pump the breaks my fellow red feathered friends.

Should have swung the fences on a young QB in the past couple years when we didn't particularly need one. Now we will be in QB purgatory for years. Palmer is done after this season.

My question is what is wrong with Palmer...is it his arm strength? If so, that can't be fixed. He has always thrown boneheaded Int's but he just hasn't looked sharp.

I don't think anyone can argue Palmer's clear erosion... However, what can and should be argued is the degree his performance on the field is being adversely impacted by our wretched oline! Palmer, even his his prime, would've struggled behind this oline due to his lack of mobility... But now? When he is essentially a statue in the pocket? As my uncle Sal would say - Fuggetaboutit!!
This oline all by itself will lead to a tremendous amount of pain, frustration and heartache this season... Monday night has all the making to be a nationally televised train wreck! The Cowgirlz might knock Palmer out and make this debate academic...

What concerns me most about Palmer is he seems to have regressed in his ability to read the defense and find secondary/open WRs.

Age has caught up with Palmer. Don't see BA replacing him unless they really tank which is possible.

I'm with "82" on this one. The O-line is a leaking-sieve, add to that Palmer's inescapability, and you end up with a very predictable result.

...And add in there's NO D.J. to strike any semblance of fear in their "D". Makes for tough-sledding all around.

Personally I think the coaching is a bigger culprit than Palmer... but even the coach threw Palmer under the bus this week...which point does that make?

This team is never prepared to play.

if our o-line played even "close" to their ability Palmers ability would not be in question IMO... but we still need his replacement on the roster.

I don't think you see Gabbert until playoffs are out of reach

The "problem" there: I dont see anyone in the division running away with it

For all our angst, Seattle was down 6-9 to SF at home in the 4gt qtr and has scored one td this season

9-7 might win the division

The Cards (or Rams, or 49ers) might not be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs until week 15

Can he subjected of critics?
Even our coach complained about his erratic plays
Has 65 of rating
2 td pass 4 int barely 55% of completed passes
Checks the qb ranking so far, he stay jn the bottom
We wont meet colts every week
We all know if he still play like our season will last just 5 weeks
