Scenario: Patriots offer 2 first round picks for Larry Fitzgerald

I'm down with that. Trade the #5 instead of Fitzgerald. It's a higher percentage play.

Think we could get Kolb and the #23 from Philly for it? How about the #28, #33 and Hernandez?

Given our track record Orton and the #36 and #46 from Denver would be even better. Denver could then get two top defensive players they need and we get:

Orton,Dereck Sherrod,Kyle Rudolph, and Sam Acho.

That wouldn't be a bad deal. Maybe replace Rudolph with Nate Irving and Acho with Reed and you have a deal. Rudolph has some injury concerns already.

Losing both Fitz and Breaston would be pure dumb. We seem to have this ability to lose our best players while their careers are peaking. Only a few years ago we had the best group of receivers in the NFL. Now we could end up with the worst group of receivers. How many NFL starters around the league are there that were once Cards? I think we could put a team together that could beat the present Cards from this group. Graves you are an idiot or need some sort of help. My choice for GM as far as drafting and trading players would be Kurt Warner. He would not be catering to Mr. Bidwill so that want happen. It just seems to me the team that traded the star player almost never gets the value of that player back. It's a risky game that management has put themeselves in becuase the guy can walk after the season & that seems to be an ongoing philosphy.

If #11 does indeed decide before or sometime during the season he's not resigning, I can easily see the team unloading him to the highest bidder before the trade deadline.

Fitz could have raped us for $16 mil that season knowing full well he would have cashed in the following season in free agency. He was generous enough to help us with cap relief so we could at least sign a couple of free agents. Of course, the pool for quality guys was shallow. With that said, Im sure that was one of the concessions that was made to get him to lower that cap number was the "no tag/no trade clause"

In a sense, I can understand why that was installed in the contract, but on the other hand, it has reared its ugly head.

Simple solution is to back up the Brinks truck to his house (without damaging his new blue Shelby Cobra in the process )

NONESENSE! Nowhere can anyone show or prove that he was looking for a Fitz type deal. His contract he signed in Baltimore wasn't near a Fitz type deal either.

I guess the local media was wrong then. Multiple outlets reported when Fitz signed his deal in 2008, Q wanted the same.

2 years later is when he was traded. He turned 29, proved to be more injury prone than before and had little control of where he was going to be traded. Those are the reasons he didnt get anywhere near Fitz money when he ended up in Baltimore. Very little leverage
