Fitzgerald was first domino...I'm curious about the specific numbers.

Dockett will be the next.

Might see Campbell get an extension, though I know teams are leary of extending deals with mutliple years left. Campbell has two.

Keim getting an early start is nice to see.

Glad he is staying in red. I hope his next 2 years are record breaking.

Has there every been a card player that was drafter and retired as a card?

Fitz doesn't like the way he's used and doesn't quit on the team. True loyalty right there.

Exactly...This actually shows that if you want to be the face of a franchise, their is a protocol for getting things done. Fitz knows; Dragic needs to learn. Fitz has had to endure way more issues with the Cards than Goran with the Suns, however Fitz keeps the negativity quiet and close to the vest.

maybe prior to free agency. Cant think of any recent ones. Wilson got the closest. Fitz and dockett will unless they want to keep trying after the wheels fall off and go elsewhere.

Never thought it would happen, let's just hope this doesn't end badly down the road because Cards are still gonna pay him mega$$$ for the rest of his days in red.
This. Thought he was leaving. Curious to see the details and how they pushed the money forward.

sounds like a win-win. Win for the Cardinals as they clear a ton of salary cap space and retain the face of the franchise. Win for Larry and he takes small cut but gets a guaranteed salary for two years that is above the market and more than he could make elsewhere IMO.

#AZCardinals GM Steve Keim: Larry Fitzgerald deal is done. Wanted to compensate Fitz. Essentially a two-year deal.

There have been a lot of players that the Cardinals drafted and then subsequently washed out of the league without ever playing for anyone else. Does that count *cough* Wendell Bryant *cough*
