Don't know how to feel about this. It was a meaningless game after all.

The Good

Carson Palmer Records-The new single season passing leader is Carson Palmer. Great season by our new Gray Beard.

John Brown-1,000 receiver this season. Great job Smoke!

Fitz-What can I say about this guy. First 1,000 yard receiving season since 2011.

The Bad

Horrible Showing-I don't mind losing but I don't like getting embarrassed on our home turf like this.

Officiating-They set the tone early and not in a good way. A Seattle defensive lineman dove at Palmer's legs on the first play of the game, no call. Then there was the non-illegal contact call on Thomas blatantly hitting Fitz after the ball was in the air.

Defense-If you can call it that. It's like they were sleepwalking.

Injuries-I'm hoping Redding and Rucker are OK. We have 2 weeks to rest up.

The Ugly

Chandler Catanzaro-Missed 50+ yard FG I can forgive. Missing his 5th extra point I cannot. I'm beginning to think he has Macky Sasser disease(look it up) when it comes to extra points.

Classless Seahawks-Sherman doing the "taking a crap" gesture again among other things. I hope we meet them in the NFC Championship game. I'm not satisfied in simply dethroning them as division champs.

Let The Naysaying Begin-I can hear it now. "The Cardinals Were Overrated", blah blah blah. It was a nothing game and these hacks know it but it isn't going to stop them. I say good. We'll let our game do the talking.

Well, that's it. On to the playoffs.

Spot on assessment of today's, errr, "effort."

I don't agree with thinking there was a a penalty on that Fitz play. Fitz ran right into Thomas who put his arms up basically saying im not impeding or holding, this guy is running straight into me. Coach seemed to share the same sentiments as he chewed Fitzgerald's ass while he came off the field and over to the sidelines.

I really think those personal milestones were the only reasons those guys were on the field today.

Horrible display by the cards, but you can take 14-0 off the board for Seahawks in my own mind for the 2 block in the backs on Sherman during locketts punt returns. Turns those long run back into bad field position. Not sure why refs are intimidated by Sherman? They scared he will run his big mouth about them or something since he is so scary??? Can't stand to see him run his mouth and can't wait to play them again and show them a beat down. The mentality of this "game that means nothing" is hard for anyone that has played competitive sports. The feeling is not the same as it is when it's for something. Not making an excuse for the god awful play by the Cards, but sure hope they got it out of their systems

I honestly believe the players treated this game like a pre-season game. There was little passion outside of Fitz and there was no urgency on defense. I think the players, in their minds were trying to not get hurt. We'll see what happens in a couple weeks against Minny/GB/Washington.

One thing I've noticed is that the defense bit on damn near every PA.

I'm still happy no one got severely hurt.

We were battling for the #1 seed in the NFC at the beginning of the game. Couldn't tell.

This team was reading their own press clippings and believed all they had to do was show up.

The sad part was the effort. If the starters did not want to play then put in the backups so they can get experience.

Let the playoffs began, Pete- "Hey Cardinals, you know what you are..." and the Cards will win in the end :)

We just went through the emotions and played to not get hurt. Like NJCards said. It felt like a preseason game.

Truth be told, most teams, even the good ones, take a crap at least once in a season so if this team was going to take a crap, this was the game to do it.

some observations:

during the Big Red Rage, Calais Campbell said something pretty interesting regarding the question of resting players for this game or not ( and I will paraphrase) : "you need to play to stay sharp, but the game plan is going to be different"

I would love to see the % blitz yesterday and see if it compares to normal or not.

the other thing i noted yesterday; Palmer had a a few throws where ordinarily he hangs in there and delivers, but instead threw early to avoid a hit.

this game had all the look of the 2009 Packer regular season game where the team knew it was playing the Packers in the playoffs --- a glorified pre season game where you play straight up and just get out without injury

Make no mistake-- this was a crappy performance, but at the same time,

Sherman did that on every punt... he got flagged for it once. Brittan Golden got flagged for a facemask after Sherman shoved him in the back when his hand didn't even tough Sherman's facemask.... he had a handful of dreads.

The refs definitely set the tone early, but the Cards didn't come to play. They had things to play for... potential #1 seed, 14 win season, pride, etc, but they didn't show up.

Even if we were playing this like a pre-season game, there's no way they wanted to lose 36-6 in front of their home fans like that.

I am stoked that they played like this. You are right, game was meaningless so why take any chance on injuries?
