It’s fascinating that poverty mindset fans didn’t think he could help the Cards when he’s the vertical outside threat people have been asking for.
And it’s weird to make up a narrative that is not there.

I have not seen or read anywhere that he wouldn’t be an upgrade.

No due to him being a headcase, no at that price, no due to outside WR is only 3rd option in Petzing’s offense - absolutely.

Zero people have claimed that he wouldn’t be an upgrade over Zay Jones

Don't love the return or losing his play

Also didn't love the idea of 5/$150M

Fully realizing it's not my money, that contract would make me nervous - he's honestly probably a tier or two below that level of contract, but still a guy who brought a lot to the table

I'll miss watching him play

I agree.

He's one of the top WR2, but this is WR1 money.

This is BTW going to give the Bengals a huge problem. Higgins is arguebly the best #2 WR in the league and they are reportedly offering 26-28M - Metcalf just got $30M.

I just posted this in the “ Milton Williams” post. Card fans are conditioned to shop for value like it’s our money.
We will be told “ We tried”. But alas we are set up to be disappointed.
