Just heard on the Sportscenter update on the Gambo & Ash show that Marks will resign with the Suns for another year.

There is your roster ladies and gentlemen.

I haven't done the math...does this "final" roster include strawberry?

No, I think this gives us 12 guaranteed contracts, not including DJ, but I think he'll still make the team.

Can Sean even participate in the Summer League? If so, his ass should be there.

I would say Strawberry will have a hard time making the team if Banks continues to play well.

In the D'Antoni era, the Suns have generally had a couple of bigs just for practice purposes.

2006-07 Burke and Marks
2005-06 Burke, Grant and Tskitishvili

Why? How could you be upset with Marks about anything? He played less than Burke last year. I always found that interesting actually because he's a much better player than Burke, IMO.

We saw so little of Marks, I have no basis for an opinion. Marks has played only 1,024 minutes in his entire NBA carer.

Ouch, ESPN scooped Gambo & Ash? That's gotta hurt. I thought they were always the first to report everything concerning Suns roster moves.

The sportscenter update is the local sports update twice an hour on 620.

Considering it has been reported for more than a week that this was going to happen, I'm not sure ESPN should get much credit for such a HUGE story.

He may actually get to wear a uniform next year rather than street clothes. Hes had a pretty long career as a "practice player". Not a bad way to make a living. he makes a million dollars a year and gets a front row seat to the games and occasionally gets to play. Not a bad way to make a living. By practicing hard and having a good attitude, they brough him back another year

What a waste of a roster spot and money. The kids who shoot free throws after the game spend more time on the court then Marks has or will :bang:

Prediction: Marks will get some minutes early in the season to see how he fares. I think Kerr will or has already strongly suggested this to D'Antoni.

I think the fact that this is already announced means that the free agent period for the Suns is officially over. The one remaining spot will most likely go to Strawberry or (much less likely) someone else from the summer roster. So even though the Suns worked out Mihm on Tuesday, they never really thought they had a realistic chance at getting him or else they would have held off on re-signing Marks.

The only question left is who will start the season on the inactive list, Marks or Pike, although the answer doesn't really matter.

Another ZERO impact move.

Atleast a promising rookie could have some trade value for a future deal.

I think Marks is a spy for Kerr.

I think this was a waste. I would rather go after a big stiff who can take up lane space. Marks can't even do that. If this truly is the last move of the Suns as is being reported then this a huge disappointment.
