I was thinking bout this last night...I think this is gonna be similar to the Peyton Manning injury. Though ones a neck & ones a shoulder, the problems with the nerves not firing up that cause loss of strength & feeling are the same. :bang::bang::bang:

Whether we win another game or not, I'm going to watch anyway and hope for the best. Cardinal football is rarely boring.

I'll add another thought. The Redbirds are innovators, they invent new ways to win or to lose. How can I not watch a team that is in the forefront of the NFL???

Stanton's getting paid well for a reason. Next man up! He didnt look half bad for the short amont of time he practiced with the first team last week and during the game. No TOs is a good start. Is he Palmer? Of course not but I still have to be confident since BA picked him first when he got the HC job. This season is far from over if he remains the QB. JMO

Yeah right. We're 2-0 with a chance to go three up on the Niners this weekend but the season is over. Oh well, hope you have something else to do Sundays. GBR!

If Palmer doesn't play this week, he will then have close to 2/3 weeks to heal due to the bye week. We still have a real chance of beating SF. Stanton will have more practice time with the 1st squad and he wasn't bad at all in the last game. The D needs to keep the run yards low and stop the te domination. It's an important game but if we lose, the season still isn't even close to being over. Now if we were 0 - 2, yea I think the season would be over, but we're not. ;)

stanton wasn't bad at all, but he wasn't good at all either. less then 50% completions and 170 yards is not impressive in any way shape or form, especially with him getting all the reps last week against an awful Giants D.

I think we likely get blown out by the Niners, and probably the Donkeys, but I'm actually pretty okay if Palmer's out until after the Denver game with us being 2-2. If he's ready to go after that, we'll still be in the mix moving forward.

As long as Stanton keeps a zero in the turnover column, this team will be in games. He doesn't have to be a hero. The good thing is that he knows this and believes it himself.

I at least like the fact that both Stanton and Palmer were signed after Arians took over. No, Stanton wasn't electric in last week's game, but he didn't turn the ball over and got the win in an early road game after a late Monday night game. San Francisco is a tall order--but at least it's at home.

Let's see if there is not a little bit of gamesmanship going on with the Carson Palmer thing this week. BA seems to have a little Bill Belichick in him. The info regarding injuries is always vague.

Why is everyone doubting Stanton? I think he did great coming out and playing the first time in a real game in 4 years. I have to agree with shaggy on this and he will be 100% practicing with the 1st team squad and will be focused on being the starter. The guy can play. Was he a little rusty last week- yes, but the guy is an athlete and he can get it done. I am looking forward to seeing him this weekend. I maybe drinking the koolaid, but think it's pretty damn good! I could think of a lot worse QB's we could have in there right now! Plus Stanton can run a little bit.

I think the issue is that we have only seen him in one game and he was a high scoring machine. I'll take a game manager any day if we when the games. Look at Wilson. With another week of full practice, rust blown off, I think we will see a little bit more out of Stanton then we did last Sunday. He never ran out of the pocket and we all now he has decent wheels. I think/hope we see more of what Drew can do this Sunday. The Oline needs to keep the protection and the D needs to play D!
