That is the all time low. The previous worst was 21K, after one of the Bugel seasons.

The ASU lawsuit, and the negative publicity, really hurt too Jim. I've never heard so many people that I knew say they were going to drop their tickets this year. There's usually one or two, but this year I can think of six off the top of my head, and for all but one, they said that was the final straw. Will they come back if the team wins? Yeah, some will, but not all. The team will have to get new fans.

Can't say I like having so few fans for the Cardinals but it did get me better seat!! :) Too bad I'm living in CA now :( But I'm going to see at least the first two home games and I'll probably get to see about half of the home games!

The Few, The Proud, the....left over.

If the Bidwills distributed the cap savings they are holding, say $12 Million, to us 17,000 die hards who will be there SWEATING and CHEERING this team on Sunday...that works out to about $705 a die hard.

Or they could give free season tickets to about another 30,000 fans who would not show up anyway.

I would settle for a free beer at this point.

Game 2 of the 2003 NFL Season is FOUR days away, do you know where your new FA signings are???

Phoenix/west side!!!
Anyone that left due to the ASU lawsuit, good riddance.... it's terrible when they can't recognize an agreement that has been violated by an institution of higher learning (so called!!).....It's about being responsible and living up to your agreements, that simple and the Cardinals have every right to be compensated under the contract that was signed.

The wrong end of a Tequila bottle.
I hate to admit it, but I dropped mine this year. My reasons were two-fold.

1. Poverty-it sucks. At one time in my life I may have considered it stylish, but those days are gone. I need more money. We looked at cutting expenses and unfortunately, the Card ticks had to go.

2. I am one of the 'Bad fans' that wouldn't be making the trip to East L.A. (Glendale). Give me the Reservation, Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale, even Downtown and I'd probably be there, but Glendale is more road time than I can justify. I hated the fact that the dolts in the east valley couldn't get their crap together. Hopefully, the Westside will pack the house and get the blackout lifted.

Lars:

Where do you live? I live in Glendale and work in Tempe. I make that drive (31 miles each way), five times a week, in weekday traffic. Now that the Loop 101 is complete, I don't understand what the big deal is with driving to the west side on a Sunday afternoon. As someone who sat in LA traffic to see Rams/ Raiders games in the Coliseum, and crossed Lake Washington to watch the Seahawks in the old Kingdome, the MPF location doesn't seem that inaccessible.

We used to drive 6 hours one way to see the NFL.

If we start to win consistantly, everyone will come back, and will have been a season ticket holder since day one.

If we need to pocket 14 million in salary money to be able to move into the new venue, fine, but don't BS us about it.

Huh? Not sure who your referring too.

btw... 17,000 season tickets? 17,000 season tickets?

I went to the Diamondback game last night. The D-Backs are:

1. DONE
2. BORING
3. Totally out of the race
4. Can't hit to save their lives
5. It was a Tuesday night game
6. It was a school/work night

There were almost 41,000 fans in the stadium last night. No promotion night either. If that doesn't bode for EXCELLENT marketing, then I don't know what does. The "recent" popular "belief" that people love to use as an excuse about the Phoenix area not supporting its teams are BOGUS! All it's take is a little creativity! Bidwill's have always failed here.

Market the product you bozo's (Bidwills), and you'll get more than 17,000 fans!

I make a living working for a company that markets consumer products.

You can have the greatest advertising and packaging in the world, but if the product quality doesn’t meet standards set by competition, you may sell one, but that consumer wont be back.

Unfortunately, Bidwill has created what could only be described as “negative brand equity”, and virtually all NFL fans are savvy enough to know that even if the name changed, the ownership hasn’t, and will assume the quality is the same.

You could take a YUGO and put a BMW nameplate on it, but it wont sell unless it performs like a BMW.

Good point. And I think that's exactly the reason they NEVER will change the name. Huge consequences, and a fear of even greater public outlash (criticism). "Look, they even changed their name, and people still don't go to the games! Ha-ha!" Poor Bidwills...their fate was sealed many years ago.

Well if I lived there I'd go to the games but I don't so that shoots that out of the air but 17,000?

OMG thats humbling I see either a quick turnaround and getting on a win streak or Mac is done there is not middle ground here.

When Graves picks the coach we will all have a much better idea of what he is made of as a GM it's the single most important thing any of them d0 and I am afraid soon it's gonna be batter up.

I'm sorry you won't make the trip accross town. I don't go to as many games as I want to, (about 1 a year), but thats mostly cuz I hate sitting in Sun Devil Stadium.

I'm salivating over the new stadium being built... it doesn't hurt that I live in Glendale... however, I do have to say that if the East side is only donig 17,000 even the new stadium on the West side isn't going to turn the Cards games into sell outs. Only winning will do that.

We'll beat 17,000 though...

Drop Mac?????? if they do, season ticket sales will go down to 10,000.
We dropped 6 tickets in section 8 this year and it's quite obvious we were not alone.
