Drop Mac?????? if they do, season ticket sales will go down to 10,000.

Why? Do you really think that there are 7,000 fans that buy season tickets because they like coach Mac? And they won't come or buy tickets if the Cards went on a 4-game winning streak to end the season?

Well, explain the logic to me. Jim says that the 17,000 fans that still hold season tickets are the "die hards." I'm willing to say that at least 5,000 of those are corporate owned (my company owns 4, and there have to be more). That's 12,000 fans. Over half of those "die hards" are going to give up because a coach was fired after a career record of 12-22?

Just over 21,000 tickets have been distributed for the Seattle game as of today.
Just win.

Or that a new coach would go 4-0.

17,000 season tix, 21,000 for the home opener - in the NFL! OMG....this is sad....
I'm a Cards fan through and through...this is down right embarassing. I don't live in the area...I'm a long way away (east of the Mississippi), so I don't even have the opportunity to attend games.
I live in a city with a COLLEGE team that hasn't been to a bowl game in 31 years!, and they sold 25,000 season tickets and had 51,000 at least weekend's game....
The NFL has to be CONCERNED about this Big Time...
behind closed doors...

21,000 is pretty awful...but at least 20,000 will be cardinal fans. There is really no excuse why it is that pathetic. The diamondbacks are out of the playoff hunt, on a losing streak and had 36,000 for a tuesday night game against the dodgers. Apathy regarding the cardinals may have reached an all time low. On the bright side - the contrarian indicator may be that the team is about to start improve..

Sorry, but I have to correct the math. 3x's!
There you see the effect of ASU dropping ticket prices, more than anything else IMO. The one guy I know who dropped his tickets that sat in front of me last year, (and didn't drop them because of the ASU lawsuit), dropped them because the prices were raised in our section and he thought that was wrong.

boy you don't think it had anything to do with going 1-9 last year and getting the snot kicked out of us every week does it? Personally - in 15 years as a Card fan I have never seen them play so disgarceful as they did the last ten games of last season. The you throw in the unbelievably horrible word of mouth - draft, whiffing on free agents, etting Boston go - signing Emmitt Smith for somewhat confounding reasons - you don't all that had anything to do with it? Nah - it had to be because Plummer left - right? If that's the case - those fans can take a hike anyway because THEY ARE MORONS!

I think people see the Cards as a non competitive. They do not do what it takes to win. Just save money.
How much interest does 14 million earn sitting in a bank account???? How much will Bidwill need to come up with for the stadium and his lease on the practice facility in Tempe???

The salary cap is $75.007M this season.
The NFL shares 85% of it's revenue.
.85 x $75M = $63.75M.
The Cardinals are at this point $12.0M under the cap.
$75M - $12.0M = $63.0M
By the time any free agent scrubs are claimed off the waiver wire, there won't be anything left to "direct deposit" into his account except for what he's made on all 17K of us lunatics.
