Let the Hawks and their fans talk all the smack they want. They earned it...today. But that's all they did was earn a beat-down that may ultimately not matter. Let's see how this thing plays out and, when all is said and done, we'll see who's talking smack.

Before the game started, I said to my youngest son that it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if we lost. Really, really tough to beat a very good team 3 times in one season. That's probably what would have to happen had we won today. Don't get me wrong, I hate to see us lose like we did today. But it really doesn't matter how ugly it was. There's no guarantee that Seattle beats Washington & Carolina, although I think they will. I'll take a home game for the NFC Championship against Seattle. In a freakin heartbeat!!

Football is an emotional game. I think that deep down the Cardinals to a man knew that there was no way Carolina would lose & that today's game was essentially meaningless. Very difficult to get up emotionally, especially since we beat them in their house not that many weeks back. Complete opposite for Seattle. They played like dog **** last week & they were still feeling the sting of us beating them in their house. Keep your heads up, should we play them again, you'll see a much different Cardinal team on the field. MUCH DIFFERENT.
I've seen stats that teams trying to go 3-0 against another team in the season win that 3rd game over 60% of the time.

I think the quality of that team factors in as well. The Hawks aren't chopped liver.

Again the matchup for the playoff game works in our favor IMO.

BA tanked this game for many reasons. Seattle is way too cocky. Just imagine. They do come here for championship game. And we go up 14-0 before you blink an eye. This game had Pre season written all over it. And they took the bait

Guys you really think Seattle just whipped us lol. St Louis beat them like a drum because of their offensive line. They had 2 OL out. You don't think we wouldn't have thrown the kitchen sink like we did against green bay. The rams owned them last week. And the rams Just lost to the 49ers for God sakes. We had won 9 straight and haven't lost a game like this since Palmer has gotten here. This was a setup game. Every player got the shut down note except Larry. But David Johnson looked different. Palmer looked different. The defense played slow and never blitzed. This game was just like the GB games of years back And that was with a bad coach in whisenhunt. BA is setting them up.

You know Sherman has been getting his ass lit up all year until the last few weeks, he really shouldn't be talking at all.

After seeing the playoff schedule and knowing that the only way we will play Seattle again is if they beat Carolina...makes me wonder if we didn't tank this game so that we might have the NFC championship here at home instead of traveling to Carolina...assuming Seattle can beat the Panthers that is.

Anyone who knows the Cards can tell you they had a small game plan and were not about to show Seattle what we had in case we were going to see them again in 2 weeks.
Even the defense was vanilla.
Seattle played to win....and they did.
We got out healthy.
Both teams dos exactly what they wanted.

Yup, and going to Minnesota in January to play a fired up Vikings team is going to be no small task either.

We got whipped in an ultimately meaningless game. We won 13 and the number two seed. Great season so far. GBR!

I think it's funny them running their mouths. I remember last week, after the Cards beat down GB, Arians telling the team to keep it classy when talking in case they meet the Pack in a couple weeks and didn't want any bulletin board material out there.

Did John Brown really say that?

If so, and Sherman is talking about something from the off season in the second game against a team in the last game of the regular season... I think it is safe to say he Sherman is a great player who is also insecure and is reaching for attention as always lol

Much appreciate the good words and welcome cheesebeef! I'm a former season ticket holder from way back (1996) and, like everyone else, have been enjoying the BA years immensely. After yesterday's drubbing I decided that I'd had enough of all the obnoxious Seahawk trolls who reappeared on profootballtalk.com, so I'm very glad to now be here among friends. Go Cards!

Well, when you beat someone down, you earn the ability to talk smack. This is the team that Seattle is. They don't give any credit, and they let you hear about it when the beat you. Oh well. I don't believe the game was an indicator is what would happen if Seattle and Arizona played in the playoffs, but facts are that they whipped our butts yesterday.

A day after I can certainly believe this it hurts to get your ass whooped like this but we rushed three defenders on one play and I was like they aren't even TRYING!

That didn't sink in until today that this may be a total setup.

Fire up the Hawks to go take out Carolina giving us a home NFC championship.

It's how I chose to look at the situation until proven otherwise.

No argument here, they absolutely crushed the Cards yesterday.

Yeah, we didn't blitz, we played pretty vanilla. Looked like a third preseason game. I know the exact play you mention...it was a third down, we rushed 3 and they lollygagged their way past the LOS.
