Sorry having Jake bash withdrawals with him being benched now.

Russ, I'm really sorry Jake won't be starting this Sunday. That way you could get your bashing in and talk about a Cards win and not have to be OT

:)

I'll tell ya what.

If we beat Denver this week, or even play very well, I'm damn near a lock to want him back.

I agree with Skkorp -- this will be sorted out on the field.

Some context -- there are at least 25 cities in the NFL where the fans are complaining about all the knuckleheaded things the coach is doing.

Cards win the next two -- Green is back.

If we win out, he should stay.

2 of 3 and I'll probably want us to keep him.

Let's not forget that if Oakland out stinks Detroit down the stretch Denny's teams will improve their record against the worst team in the NFL to 0-4.

2004-49ers (twice)
2005-Texns
2006-Radz ???

That's a perfect reason to bring him back.

We are finally learning how to close it out. I disagree, a tad about Green's decision making, it's actually making some sense. Seems he finally has his O line in place, using BJ more.
I know I'm a homer, but I do believe we can win out. A win against the donkies and that's 2fer against good teams. Include the Rams as a formidable opponent(that's 3 big ones).
We can't look past the whiners, that could be one that let's some air out of the balloon, but I don't see us letting up.
Last, unless the bolts are trying to do the absolute amazing for LT, they'll clinch everything by then, and may just look past us early in the game. If we get a lead, as it seemsa we're finally learning to close it out,we'll win.
It would be completely off the wall to fire Green.
The house is still rocking hard. The boys are learning to protect the nest, I think if we close it out with wins, or take just 1 more loss, he has to stay.
I've already added another seat for next year. I believe he's staying and next year we're the darlings of the league under coach Green.
It's his foundation, and they ARE playing the way we knew they could from the git. He's got to stay.

I saw a team that quit on thier head coach against two of the worst teams in the NFL. There is no way when players quit on their coach that said coach can return and be successful. IF DG is back we are 6-10 again. Hell even the starting QB was saying two weeks ago how fun it would be to have his college coach as his NFL coach. 90% of this chat board said how great Carroll would be and DG should go. Now because he wins two games against crappy teams and won a game against a good team he should come back. No way. The foundation is laid, and it's a good strong foundation that another coach could build on.

Teams that quit on a coach don't suddenly turn it around and begin to play better...

And the Cardinals have in fact been successful over the last few weeks.

By your own words, "there's no way" that can happen when a team has quit on its coach.

I believe Matt said that it would be nice SOME DAY to play again for Caroll. He said he was not lobbying for him to come here and replace Green.

If this team wins out then a case can be made to keep Green. I would rather see what we do with some continuity. Let him play out his contract. If half way through next year we are at least .500 then extend Green. .500 = 1yr extension, .700 = 2yr, > .800=3 yr extension....
