I have a name to throw out that no one has probably given any thought to. DeShone Kizer
Here is really young kid who was thrown into the fire with no mentor, a horrible play calling head coach, no weapons to speak of, and no time to learn the system, much less learn to play in the NFL. And the team, as well as the fans, hate him it seems and have no desire to give him a decent chance of becoming an NFL Qb. He had a miserable rookie year, but who wouldn't have under those conditions. Horrible no win situation for the kid. Yes, he looked horrible a lot of the times, lead league in interceptions with 22. But heck, other great QBs had worse 1st years, ie Peyton Manning had 28 interceptions his first year.
Browns have totally given up on the kid. I would like to see a team with a good QB coach, starting qb to mentor him, and time to develop give him a fair and decent shot to see if he could succeed. I'm sure he could be had for a 4th round pick or there abouts to be a backup and learn how to be a successful starter one day.
