Seidenberg, Sjostrom, and Sauve re-sign

The Phoenix Coyotes have resigned defenseman Dennis Seidenberg and forward Fredrik Sjostrom each to two-year deals. No word on their salaries yet, but its good that the Coyotes are starting to get their RFAs locked up.

It appears Sjostrom's cap hit will be $775,000 and Seidenberg's will be $800,000. Both good value players at that price.

According to the NHLPA website, Phil Sauve has also been re-signed, for $550,000. However, with Cujo, LeNeveu, and Morrison around, its looking very likely that Sauve is headed for the AHL (or traded somewhere else if some other team wants him).

The arbitration date for center Mike Comrie has been changed to Aug. 4.

Left wing Ladislav Nagy also is scheduled to have his salary determined that day by an arbitrator.


• Goalie Phil Sauve, defenseman Matthew Spiller and forward Oleg Saprykin accepted their qualifying offers before Saturday's deadline.
