It was good to see Souza get into the groove with hits. Even better to see him reaching the next step -- power.


I wonder why Pollock was benched today vs. a lefty, with Jay, a lefty, in his place. I know the Giants started a lefty in three out of the four games in the series, but isn't Pollock capable of starting three games in a series, even a day game after a night game? Unless the splits vs. Holland favor Jay. But that is difficult to imagine.

BB just commented that Robbie Ray has thrown 13 sliders so far, and not one swung on and missed. The batters seem to have caught up to him.

I have been wondering why Robbie has hit the skids this season. Has he not come back from his oblique injury? The D-backs have lost 5 of his last 6 starts.

Edit: The Giants have scored a run to tie the score and the bases are loaded, but Robbie got out without further damage.

You can see the sweat on his face throughout the game.
