Jimmy Butler is still in play. He is reportedly unwilling to sign an extension with the Warriors.

Man, I gotta give Butler credit for working the system. I just hope we don't give away the farm, or that this deal falls through.

I hope the Suns have other irons in the fire, such as trading Nurkic. Banking on trading for Butler is risky business.
Totally agree. I feel like having Booker and KD, and being under the second apron would be way better than trying to big three our way forward. Unless that third guy is a big that can rim protect and play his ass off defensively.

The Suns would need a miracle to trade Beal, but we shall see.

It might be easier to trade Nurkic and/or Allen.

I question a player’s judgement if he doesn’t want to play with Steph. He’s the most unselfish superstar this generation.

I tend to agree, but there must be a boatload of maneuvering out there we know nothing about.

Also, would the Warriors give Butler an extension?

I really don’t understand why you want to give up more assets and an extension to a 35 year old

The Suns went this direction, not me. I can understand their thinking though if they want to make a run at the playoffs.

The LaVine contract is so terrible that the kings got 3 firsts to eat it.

Hard to see how we can move Beal.
No, the opposite.

The Kings got Lavine and 1st rounders for Fox while the Bulls got a 1st rounder (their own, protected 1-10 in 2025, 1-8 in 2026 and 2027, if not conveyed, a 2nd rounder in 2028) for Lavine.

Since his value must be similar (minus the NTC) to Beal's, it gives us hope of moving Beal without heavy sacrifices.
