Sharrod Ford Waived

Not that it really means anything, but ESPN.com's transactions list says we waived him today. Kind of harsh thing to do on Christmas Eve if you ask me....

Could possibly be a precussor to a small deal? Something with the TE where we needed to free up a roster spot? I don't really see any other reason to waive him now, I don't think his contract became fully guaranteed until about Jan. 10th.....

Plenty of rest, Washington not playing good and playing 5th game in just a few days on the road, and the Suns get beat!

There has to be something going on here, unless they had to guarantee

The Suns released Ford just before this road trip where they have 5 games and I was thinking that they may pick up a player on the road from a team.
In MN it could have been Skita, but guess not.

I am probably wrong and cheap Sarver just did not want to pay for his meals and tickets etc.

I hope the Suns are seriously considering using their trade exception, and it's not just Sarver being cheap.
